What does Patricia know about web.com she's from spokane? well web.com has an office in spokane that's where most of the sales are from.and web consulting as well. and yes web.com may sound expensive but they do more then just build a website they also promote it so it's actually seen by consumers. would you want your business billboard seen in the desert? or where people can actually see it? web.com is also a direct partner with google. they do make you sell or get fired it's pretty much a sweat shop in there.

1st of all, Patrica of Spokane Washington what would you know. This company freewebs.com-webs.com is based out of MD. She does not know there policy's as well as there procedures. I myself have had the unplesantness of dealing with webs.com-freewebs.com. It took them 7 days just to respond to a help ticket on there website, aswell as the run around from these people. I am currently changing my domain to another company, and guess what I still am dealing with there crap. The refuse to follow through on a EEP code to transfer my domain to godaddy.com. They don't even know how to use there own software.

I would be very leery of doing any type of business with this company. I am still trying to get "stolen" pictures removed from a scam website hosted by this company. They have been knowingly hosting a website that is puppy scamming the public by using stolen pictures from real breeders to sell non-existent puppies. Web.com has been sent numerous emails since early January concerning this site yet they leave it online even though their abuse policy states that they have no tolerance of copyright violations and scam violations. See Ripoff Reports number 421526 and 421557. They are obviously condoning such illegal practices since they have refused to even respond to the various complaints from the actual picture owners so it does not surprise me that they have other shoddy business practices. Not a company I would want to do business with or be associated with.

It is funny to me how silly these people are. When you give your credit card information to a company (whether on the internet or over the phone) you should fully know and understand what you are doing. It is not legal for any company to do business without making the terms and conditions available. Not to mention common sense. When I give my cc info for a "free trial" I can assume that there will be charges later. CLARIFY what those charges are and what they are for. First of all, it is safe to say that if you don't speak good english, you might not understand the english terms and conditions. I sell people all the time who don't speak good english, but they are adament about getting going. Ok- I do my job. Secondly, over half the people I sell don't listen. They email me 3 months later, after we have tried repeatedly to get in thouch with them, telling me that they haven't seen the site, wel PAY ATTENTION, we have been calling and emailing you. Thirdly, 80 dollars is obviously more than a hosting fee- seriously!! Take a look at all the many, many, many things that it takes not just to get a website, but to get it found. Fees range from 9.99 all the way up to thousands of dollars. They are not all just hosting fees. And to the guy who baught an mp3 battery, I can't even beging to tell you how rediculous that is. WE DON'T SELL THOSE!! It is the consumers responsability to know what they are doing. It is the company who is selling the product to inform the customer, and believe me, WE DO TRY! People don't always listen. We have millions of very satisfied customers, who take their web presence seriously and they understand the value and complete online services that web.com offers. READ THE FINE PRINT!! And if you don't have time do so before signing up, do your research, and not on some stupid ripoffreport.com where people just vent. Research the company, with anything you do!! I do. FYI we don't have cancelation fees, maybe she did some sort of a contract or something, but you can research us. For our basic (not annual) services there is not a cancelation fee.
