Web.com advertises an easy to use template to build your own website.  They advertise that building your own site is free and once you've created & approved your site - Web.com will host your site for $24 per month.  After several attempts, we found their "free" templates cumbersome and not acceptable for our small business.  We contacted them and tried to cancel our account.  We started to receive a monthly charge of $158 per month.  Each time we noticed this charge we called Web.com and we were always provided with the same run around.  We were transferred to their billing specialists and informed that they would refund our money & no further charges would be made.  

Several occasions we were required to submit our request in writing and emailing it to their claims department at [email protected]. We never received a response back.  After months of agonizing frustration we finally closed our credit card account and are still waiting for Web.com to refund us $1151.00.   Web.com never provided any hosting service nor did they ever build or provide a website for our business.  We asked them to provide us with a copy of the website that they were charging us for - and on every occasion they gave us their seasoned run around.  Web.com was Web.con - they conned us for a little over a year.  Their advertisement for building your own website for "free" was far from free for us.
