Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I hired Web Design Harbour to build a simple website for my company, and what followed was a nightmare of deception and dishonesty. Initially quoted $700 US for the project, I was later coerced into spending $1800 for hosting and domain services that were misrepresented as being with Google, but were actually provided by Namecheap.com and only registered for a year.

I hired Web Design Harbour to build a simple website for my company, and it turned into a nightmare of deceit and fraud. Initially, we agreed on a price of $700 US for the website, and I informed them that I had already purchased a domain through GoDaddy. However, a few days later, I received a call from Shaun, who claimed that GoDaddy domains are not secure and pushed me to buy a domain from them instead. He used scare tactics to manipulate me into purchasing a domain and hosting package for $1800, claiming it was a lifetime Google domain and hosting service. Later, I found out that they were hosting my website on namecheap.com, and the domain was only registered until next year. I do not own any of these entities.

To make matters worse, Shaun tried to sell me unnecessary SEO services and Google keywords for an additional $1200. When I declined and requested a refund, I was denied and told the keywords had already been purchased. They even kept my credit card information on file without my consent and charged me without permission.

The website they delivered was incomplete and filled with dummy links. They also promised to increase my Instagram followers using questionable methods that violate Instagram's policies.

When I tried to cancel and get a refund, they threatened me with legal action and posted an "Emergency Legal Announcement" with my picture on their website. It was clear they were trying to intimidate me into compliance.

I immediately contacted my bank, and they refunded me the money and advised me to cancel my card. Web Design Harbour's actions are fraudulent, and they should be avoided at all costs. Their business practices are unethical, and they do not deliver what they promise. Stay away from these scammers.
