Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I went shopping for a new laptop I went to Office Depot in Reno, NV.  The salesman convinced me that they had the best warranty company and if I paid extra I could basically throw my computer out of a moving car and they would fix it.  Well I didn't do that, but I did have a need to get my computer fixed.  I called and was told the damage was covered, but I had to get it "bio-hazard" cleaned first.  They instructed me to call my local healt department.  I did this and was told they had no idea what I was talking about.  I called several other computer repair companies and was told it was a ploy for them to get out of fixing the computer.  I called back and got a supervisor who agreed there was no such service.  He sent me the box to ship my computer in to get repaired.  A week later I got my computer back, wrapped in plastic with a big orange "BIOHAZARD" sticker on it.  I called and was told again that it had to be cleaned.  I had my IT manager take the computer apart so we could "clean" it.  He wrote a statement assuring that it had been cleaned and could now be fixed. I shipped the computer back to them via UPS and it was received by them on 11/17/11.  The computer came back to me on 12/2/11 still not fixed.  I called again, and was told it needed to be biohazard cleaned.  They are playing games and I am done.  I am doing a chargeback on my creditcard for the payment of the warranty.  I advise everyone else to never give them a dime.  The frustration level is not worth it. I have also called two times prior asking for a supervisor and told that one would call me back.  Surprise surprise no one ever did.

Smoker?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're a smoker. If that's the case, and you smoke around your computer, I can imagine what the inside of your computer looks like. I know, because I've seen it before. I've had computers in that are literally caked with tar on the inside. No computer repair company (and this includes the ones that are contracted by the warranty company) that I know of will work on a computer in that condition before it's been cleaned. There are certain minimum standards of health and safety regulations that they must meet, and that includes not exposing their employees to carcinogens. In that case, they're well within their right to refuse to service your computer until it's been cleaned.

Now, if you're not a smoker and this isn't the case, I apologize.
