If you are ill and even have a Dr's note. At least they can in right to work states. But that does not mean it's the right thing to do. Not that companies are known for doing the right thing unless it benefits them moreso....

To bad you still don't work there. I was hoping you could buy a spelling and grammar checker for your PC.

Please be careful when using your own personal believes to attack someone's complaint. There is validity to her compliant, even if you do not agree with it. But isn't this exactly what you're doing??? Your feelings as to where convicts (of any offense) are no more valid than any one elses. The only thing that matters would be any federal, state or local laws that may prohibit people convicted of certain offenses from being employed in a specific setting (such as no sexual offenders employed at a school). So there's validity in her response even though you do not agree with it.

This is to the person who made the "couple things" comment. Actually, I guess it depends on where you live b/c in CA, your employer can not even ask you for a doctor's note unless you have missed more than 3 consecutive scheduled work days. They can only release you if you miss more than 3 days and do not provide medical documentation excusing your absence. I don't know what the laws are for Missouri or North Carolina, but it seems as though a thing like this would be covered under federal labor laws. And, personally, I would like to take my kids into a store and not have to handcuff them to my side in order to make sure they are not harmed, touched, etc. Some people don't watch their kids very well, let me tell you I am a county social worker, if anyone knows I would. Some people are okay with letting their kids run off to the toy section and play...alone. And heaven forbid they(Walmart) allow a sex offender to watch the dressing rooms. And how would you feel if you were using the restroom and at the same time you got a convicted rapist trying to clean the restroom and saying "oops, didnt know anyone was in here?" And though I work with sex offenders on a daily basis, I would never wish to have them as my coworkers, maybe you would, but not I. There are other places sex offenders could work....like, I don't know, oilfields, farms, dumps, somewhere other than where families/women/children do business. And, last I checked, to file a harassment claim you have to show a history of "offensive" behavior, meaning the offended must confront in some manner the person who is doing the offending to allow a chance for the offender to correct their behavior, if the behavior is not corrected it gets reported to a superior, if the superior is not able to resolve the problem then a "harassment" claim can be filed. She may have not wanted to hang around long enough to make a claim. Please be careful when using your own personal believes to attack someone's complaint. There is validity to her compliant, even if you do not agree with it.

""Your whole life has to be Walmart, Dr notes don't count as an excuse absence even if you are in the hospital dying they don't care. They hire sex offenders can you imagine a register sex offender."" Illness, unless you claim FMLA, does not have to be covered by an employer. They can fire your for calling in sick, even with a doctor's note, UNLESS you claim FMLA. Sex offenders? Well they have to work SOMEWHERE. Its not illegal to hire them. Are you telling me that they shouldn't be allowed to have jobs? As for the racist employee, why did you not file harrassment charges?
