I went to Walmart and purchased a battery for my truck. Then I went to Mc Donalds and had a burger while there I decided to look at receipt ajnd realized they had charged me to much for the battery. I went to the customer service department but I was told it was closed. So I took pictures of the bagtery and went home. I wanted to make sure I was correct so I looked up the numbers on the receipt and it kept coming up with a  group 24 battery which is not what I needed. I looked at the stickers and realized the top one was wrong. The battery was a group 65 but the sticker and price was wrong. Well I assumed it was a factory mistake since I work in an industry that is filled with manufactures errors. 

The store only had one of these left and I assumed it was another error battery. I didnt want the warranty issus so I went to a different store to get the correct battery with the correct stickers. 

I took it back to the store and told them what I had found and the next thing I know I am being accused of messing with the sticker and all kinds of bs. During all that they tried to tell me I had to take it up with the manufacturer etc..They gave me 50 reasons not to take it back. I was so pissed. They charged me 94 and change plus 12 core and 1 enviromental.

This is unaccpetable. I should be held liable for thier issues. I am not a criminal and I dont think like one. 

I had a simulier experence with them and a power tool many years ago. I purchased a hand drill and out of the taped up box it did not work. I tried to return and they said it is a manufaturer issue and refused to return my money. Since that day I have refused to purchase any black and decker product period and I no longer purchase any power tool from them. I have stuck to it. Walmart in fact separates its self from the products they sell and take no responsibilty for what goes on in thier store.  The sticekr that says we recycle take your battery back to walmart is false advertising , it doesnt tell you that you have to find a supercenter that will accept cores or exchanges. 

I am look into fileing reports everywhere I can FTC, consumer affairs. I use to shop there 2 or 3 times a week. Not any more now the target around the cornor gets my business. Completely 

Im tired of the cheap ways of walmart anyway. The stocking in the evenings that blocks all the aisles, and policys  that are anti-customer.

 I went to another store and I got my back which turned out to be $129 and change. apparently the Duarte store sends people to the Covina store often. I was very happy the Covina store took it back, they installed the other battery and I purchased a oil change. I think a store should what it sells period and not make the customer drive 10 miles to get a return. It is a right not a priveledge. That is the problem with some employees they don't think so. Another thing The battery even says it recycles. , it say take it to Walmart , it does not say take to a super center that has a automotive center. Not all super centers have automotive. it wasn't without a receipt or mismatched numbers. it was a legitimate return of a unused battery. The cashier at check out said I could bring the core back to that store so why couldn't I return an unused battery?
