7-06-06- I had my car's oil and filter changed at this Walmart.

7-06-06- I was driving home and noticed loud clattering rods. My husband was gonna drive the car later and he noticed the same thing. he checked the oil and there wasn't any oil showing on the oil stick, I also looked at it. We went in his truck and purched 4 qts. of oil. He pu in 3 qts. of oil checking after each qt. added. He got underneath my car and noticed oil coming from the filter. I called and spoke with the person in charge at the Walmart Tire & Lube, which was Bobby. He said that he'd come out the next day and check it out.

7-13-06- Bobby and Larry from Walmart came out. They inspected the vehicle and saw oil leaking from the filter. They put another filter on and there was not any more oil leaking. The filter they had taken off was damaged. it had a cut place around the seal. I ask about the damage to my motor and they said to drive the car and call them if I had any trouble. My husband drove the car that evening about 27 mile one way to the hospital. The car ran hot (in the red) almost the entire distance. I drove the vehicle about 10 miles the nest day and it did the same way again.

To try to make a long story short. We went to file a report which they never made. I was contacted by Claims Management, Inc. from Bentonville, Arkansas and was told the oil filter was sent to the oil filter company to be checked out (Fram). I put my car in the Service Center to be checked out. They informed me that my car does have motor damage. I left several voice mails with claims managemnt, none of which was returned. I called and spoke with that employees supervisor. I was just informed of the same thing the other employee told me. I informed him I would call the company to verify this. I called Fram, left a message, and my call was returned later. The lady first checjed with the last 4 digits of my claim number, she found nothing. She checked with the enitre cliam number and found nothing. She also checked by the Walmart Store information and ffound nothing. my oil filter had not been sent there to be checked out.

I called Walart and spoke with Bobby and ask him what he did with the oil filter they took off my car. He said he last saw the oil filter in the file cabinet drawer of the store manager office.

Basically, I'm getting tired of being lied to and getting the run-a-round.

I'm having a hard time because my main use of my vehicle is to take my daughter back and forth to the doctor. She has numerous health problems-diabetes, sarcoidosis (a rare lung disease), osteoperosis, osteoarthritis, and other conditions.

I can't always borrow a vehicle to take her for her apppointments. They are aware of my situation but are not making an effort to remedy the problem. I have not even been offered a lease vehicle unitl they repair mine.

Another thing which has really been bothering me is that I looked up Claims Management, Inc. Bentonville, Arkansas (Walmart's Insurance Company) and serveral of the sites I found stated that they did not pay Walmart's claims.

File a claim against them and let a judge decide the case. There are many cases like this in the system, and you will probrably prevail because the judge will use common sense to decide who is telling the truth. Your engine is ruined and you want it to be replaced or completely rebuilt, not simply "fixed." When you go to court, have estimates in hand for the judge to look at, and expect to get about half of what you ask for due to depreciation. You didn't say how old the car is or even the make and model, so you may be better off replacing the car altogether. BTW, Fram oil filters would not go into any vehicle I own.

The second date on my state 7-06-06 is incorrect. I had the oil changed on 7-06-06. I started having car problems on 7-12-06.
