Wal Mart Policy
If you purchase a product from Wal-Mart on line and it is not the pruduct you believed it to be you can bring it back to a local store for a full refund. If you tell them the product is defective in any way, they will give you a full refund including taxes and shipping cost. BUT if you are honest and explain to them that the product is not the product you thought it to be, THEN they will not return the shipping charges. SO if you must purchase from WalMart ONLINE and you must bring it back, ALWAYS tell them that it is defective.

Most stores will never refund shipping charges, PERIOD. The fact that Walmart does this at all nothing but EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Why bash a "policy" that benefits the customer? I find it amusing that you not only refer to it as a "stupid policy" but also are advising others as to ways to take advantage of and get MORE from this already generous company.
