Since it's only 1200 dollars, I suppose you could try small claims court, but I'm pretty sure you'll lose. The fact that the engine seized 300 miles after the oil change casts sufficient doubt on your claim of negligence on the part of Wal-Mart. Had this happened a mile away, you'd surely win. I'm sure they were negligent though, you just can't really prove it. I hope you'll stop using Wal-Mart to perform service on your car. Most of the people that work at Wal-Marts are mental defectives and to them, an oil change is complex process. My real concern though is Wal-Mart's tire installation. Who knows how many cars on the road that have had tires installed by Wal-Mart have either loose or missing lug nuts?
