I purchased a 2018 Audi S4 with 27XXX miles from Vroom in January 2021. Every step of the process with Vroom is totally disconnected from the next. As you will read across the internet you are only able to contact them when they want to be contacted. This includes your personal, "sales rep". Needless to say you are left in the dark for much of the transaction. Fast forward to delivery, I was called by a delivery rep on Friday the 12th of January stating the vehicle would be delivered Monday. Right after I hung up the phone I was called by a transporter stating he was 100 miles from my location and would be delivering tonight.... on Friday.

Unable to accept an 18 wheeler at my residence I would need to meet him in town. After many texts back and forth I took delivery of the vehicle at 8pm in the dark and rain. I was told by the Vroom rep to, "thoroughly" inspect the vehicle before signing the bill of lading.... in the dark and rain?

Fast forward I took the vehicle to local Audi dealer due to a "high oil level" warning light and a "replace battery" warning light only four days and 52 miles after delivery. Upon their inspection a whole list of issues were identified. To name a few major ones was major underbody damage to the right rocker panel, a large dent and crease in the hood, both rear tires could not pass inspection due to multiple chunks missing from the sidewalls. The oil was overfilled, the battery needed replaced, the cabin air filter was broken, a coolant leak and a possible oil leak on top of the engine that would require $200 worth of labor charges to diagnose.... there's more.

Vroom was contacted and a case was opened on 02/17. Repair quotes and photos of all damage was sent via email. It is now 03/02 and I've heard nothing out of Vroom. I've spent over $1000 on maintenance items and I've made the first payment. The car has been sitting in my garage as it is unsafe to drive on the tires and who knows how far it would make it with the coolant and oil leak. A total train wreck of a $40k car.

How does this vehicle make it out the door with Vroom? Needless to say I'm here to warn anyone reading this report that it is not worth the risk buying a vehicle from this company. You will spend time, money and be caused unnecessary stress thinking you're getting an online car buying convenience. I fully expect Vroom to eventually contact me, ask for a $500 transport fee to return the vehicle and who knows, probably even charge me mileage after reading other online reviews.

I hope this report saves others the headache and eventually this company pays the price for their practices. It is absolutely inexcusable.
