Volt Workforce Solutions Collecting Resumes and Not Placing you in a position Austin, Texas
I want to say first off that staffing firms , especially Volt are using people to get information and never truly intend to get you a job. I was contact by Volt in regards to a position they had available . The odd thing I never applied to them before. Any way the position was $13 an hour with a high profile company so I figured why not. The position was for tech support customer service.
After I said I was interested I was told I needed to take 3 online test called " Prove It" I took the tests and they set me up with an in person interview at Volt. After attending the interview the interviewer told me she would set up an interviewer on location . At first I was excited , however she said that the person conducting the interview also worked for Volt which I found quite odd.
I then went to the interview which it turned out was a group interview. which seemed stupid, we were then told we had to take another written test which by now I knew was bullshit , since I already took 3 tests online. During the test we were called individually to do a one on one interview with the " recruiter".
I ended up spending 3 hours there , they told me that a a lot of positions were open so I should be fine , the next day I get a call that I was chosen for the position , despite the fact that I had experience in the position they were applying for.
I think Volt and companies like it are just harvesting your info and have no intention of placing you in a job. If they ever contact you tell them to go to hell.
