Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
About 2 yrs ago, I cosigned with voicestream so my stepdaughter could get a cell phone. Not a problem, every now and agian she would get behind on her bill, they would call me and I would ask how much it was, it was usualy $30-$60. I would give her a call and she would contact them and pay it.

Well, I didn't hear from them for a long time. All of a sudden they call me regarding the bill, I ask how much, they tell me $1000.00. Needless to say I about fell out of my chair. I contacted my stepdaughter, she said they had been sending her this bill and she was trying to straighten it out with them. She requested an itemized bill, they sent it to her. It was about an inch thick and went back about 3 months. From what I could tell, each month her minutes were not renewed, they just kept adding and adding. There were numbers on there that she didn't recognize.

She kept calling customer service repeatedly and some people would tell her the bill was correct and others would tell her "there must be some mistake, let us look into this and we'll get back to you" I also was calling customer service, this is my credit thats being screwed. No one ever called back. Now, is it possible that my step daughter ran up this bill? Possibly, but not likely.

What I am wondering is, fist of all, why was I not contacted sooner, and secondly why oh why did they not shut the phone off before the bill reached that amount. I have a cell phone thru Sprint PCS and if for some reason my bill hits $150 on the 39.95 a month plan, they shut me off. Thats the way it should be. We tried and tried to work with these people, now about 3 months ago it went to collections, we tried to work with them, now they are taking us to court for collection on this bill.

IS THERE A LAWYER IN THE HOUSE WHO CAN HELP US?

Hey, do you have the IQ of a squid? Your stepdaughter is lying to you honey. When you make and receive calls from a VoiceStream handset, that SIM card in the back of your phone is what registers those calls. Dont believe us? Try using your phone without one. And yes, we can track those, and if you dont believe those calls are your stepdaughters, do what we do. Call one of the numbers and say, "Hi, is So-So there?". Nine times out of ten you'll get a reply similiar to "No she's not" or "She just left". Ever consider doing that, or do you have an ID 10 T problem? Oh yeah, Sprint is REALLY secure. You know why they shut you off when you get that high? Thats an easy one honey. Cloning. They're an analog service provider, which means if John down the street wants to listen to your hot steamy convo's with your lover, he just dials in the frequency of your phone and voila! Instant phone fun. He can also call your lover back using your frequency and continue the conversation if you get too boring.. and whos bill does that show up on? You got it sweetcakes.. it's yours! Can they track that? Nope. According to their system it came from YOUR phone. Thats another reason VoiceStream has that SIM card, if it comes from YOUR phone with *another* SIM fine, you're not billed. But if it's called from your SIM CARD? Thats yours! Enjoy your day enlightened one. And be a good lil customer and read the terms of service. Pay your bill too... looks bad on your credit if you dont. Happy Calling!

They told us it was going to be sent for judgement. Instead they sent it to a new collection agency. The amount of the bill has changed again.
