I signed up with Voicestream wireless at a store in Boston, MA. They sold me a plan for $39.99 per month that was to include 600 weekday minutes and 2000 weekend minutes. They also made me give them a $250.00 deposit toward my account just to open it.

In the next seven months they never posted my initial $250.00 deposit payment to my account. I had to have the manager of the store fax my receipt, credit card receipt and statement to their national cash posting office over a dozen times before thay would say they received it.

I also was billed every month for the 2000 weekend minutes, but my bill always said that I only signed up for 1500 minutes.

I spent hours of my time in dealing with all of this crap and got to speak with more "supervisors" "managers" and all sorts of other useless droans that all have some script of B.S. that they read from. But none of them could give me the same reasons, or excuses. If a company is going to train people to lie, they should all have the same lies.

Also, I went in to the same store I had purchased my services at and asked for a new plan. It included only 500 day minutes and unlimited weekends and free roaming and long distance. I asked for it to be changed before my biling cycle started again on Nov. 20. The manager of the store told me that my plan would automatically be updated in the system to include free roaming and long distance and not to worry, I would have them. A week lter on the 21st I was in Las Vegas and experienced a medical emergency and had to make numerous calls from my phone. When I received my bill from Voicestream, all of the calls had been logged as both long distance calls and roaming calls. $99.00 plus taxes was added to my bill!!!!

Not to mention tha fact that I've had to send my Nokia 8290 phone back to them three times because after about two and a half or three months they crap out and die.

I have never had such bad service and such bad billing. I got two bills in one month once, and then did not receive a bill for two months and had to call and ask for them to send a copy!! They threatened to shut off my phone, and did restrict me from making outgoing calls all because their computer system did not send me a bill.

This company sucks and I hope everyone who reads this realises how much time and effort it took me to deal with this joke of a company.

First of all your deposit not being posted to your account was a computer error - guess what it happens. Oh but I forgot things like errors don't happen to our customers - they are all perfect. And as for you having to fax it over 12 times...my goodness. Could we be exagerating just a little bit?? The most frustrating thing about working for a cell phone company is trying to explain a piece of technology to someone who is NEVER going to understand how it works. MUCH LESS the rate plans....forget that! Come on people its not brain surgery. You get so many anytime & so many weekends mins. Its not that we are lying to you its that YOU PEOPLE DON'T LISTEN. You only hear what you want to hear. And I seriously don't understand why customers even bother to call. They should just talk into a tape recorder and play it back because they are not calling to listen to us and get information they just want to hear themselves talk. Oh and your rate plan issue - changing after you went on your little trip. How convenient that you went to the store right before you left. Guess what? If you did in fact go to the store, you didn't listen (surprise, surprise) Our rate plan changes DO NOT go into effect until your next bill cycle date. You probably don't know what you bill cycle is or when it starts over either. And as for your phone, sorry that you have such bad karma that you got 3 defective phones but guess what? We got it from the manufacturer Nokia. They send it to us we send it to you. We don't make the phones we supply the service. Why don't you go yell at Nokia too.....that gets a lot accomplished doesn't it? Thank you for calling Voicstream....and have a nice day!
