Vista Energy Marketing LP Unauthorized Contract San Jose California
In February 2017, I cancelled Vista Energy since it was not saving me money. Sometime between January and March of 2018, a representative from Vista Energy knocked on my door, waking me up from my nap, asked if I had Vista Energy. I advised him I didn't believe so (being half asleep) at which time he asked to see one of my PG&E bills. I proceeded to show him the bill, he stated that I did have Vista Energy, handed by bill back and thanked me.
I have a bad habit of not looking at my PG&E bill thoroughly and just paying it. I begin to notice that I was paying way to much for the summer months as I have no airconditioner and live alone. After checking my bill I realized that I was once again paying Vista Energy and the charges started in April of 2018.
I called Vista Energy this morning and was advised that my initials were on the contract. I advised the representative that I did not recall putting my initials on anything. He stated that he would cancel the contract and put a "do not knock" by my address. I asked him if they were going to reimburse me for the $150 plus that had been charged and he stated that because my initials were the contract they could not. He offered to send the contract with my initials to me, but I declined as stated that anyone could have put those initials on the contract. Even if they send you the contract with your supposed initials on it, who writes legible initials or signatures on tablets. I know mine isn't the same as on paper.
So please beware of Vista Energy!
