We went to VIP becasue we noticed our serpentine belt needed to be replaced... When we got there they said we also needed a tensioner..I was told not only the part was not in stock... I went back a few days later and was told we also needed an A/C compressor.. I got the parts and called to get a quote on labor and got one... Called the next day to schedule and appointment and was told they were not authorized to do A/C work...

I made arrangements with another mechanic, but due to Christmas I would be several days... On Dec 26th my belt snapped- we lost everything including our power steering and we barely made it to another one of VIP stores... they looked at my van and told us that 1. the tensioner was fine and 2. the machine to work on A/C's had been broken for months... they had my van for 3+ hours...

They towed us to yet a 3rd store... My van was there for 6+ hours...All of this while we were waiting They replaced the A/C part and told us the tensioner was fine.. sent us on our way...14 miles we drove when the belt broke again.. We were lucky that we were able to get the van and ourselves to a safe palce before it overheated...

I called and emailed corporate on the 27th.. they are now saying that I should have had the tensioner replaced in the beginning and that its not their fault... Even tho I was in a VIP store for the entire day yesterday WITH A TENSIONER PART IN MY VAN READY TO BE INSTALLED and was told by several people that the part was not needed.. I am 9 months pregnant, was stranded twice in one day, and due in 3 and I still do not have my vehicle because VIP says they are not responsible...

I did my part.. I as the customer paid them twice to fix my van and they failed to do so and even sent me away to drive home. So I am left with no choice but to pay them to fix my van so I have a vehicle.. so we are now out more money than we would have paid had it been done right the first time, but we are also out 2 days of work as we have no transportation...

"Cars are whats important at VIP Discount Auto Center" obviously... because I know its not customers..
