I was recommended to open an account with venmo. I received money and had funds transferred to my bank. I received an email from Venmo that funds were going to be transferred to my bank on Wed Feb. 17. Today is 2/19 and funds have not been transferred. On Feb. 15, I received an email
I'm writing with regards to some recent transactions made on your Venmo account.
Our fraud & risk team has been reviewing these transactions and, unfortunately, it appears you have been the victim of a scam. Your transactor was using stolen financial information to send you payments. This user and all associated accounts have been frozen and prohibited from transacting further.
Fraudsters often take on several identities and are able to scam many people (and sometimes even the same person) en masse. However, at this point we do not offer any buyer or seller protections: this is why we prohibit merchant transactions on Venmo (per section C.1.b. of our user agreement). *There are no channels available for Venmo to reimburse loss incurred due to violations of our User Agreement and participation - intentional or otherwise - in fraudulent activities.*
Privacy laws prevent us from sharing much information about this case. However, in hopes of preventing similar incidents going forward we are reviewing our terms of use and considering adding further measures to discourage use of Venmo for merchant activity, as it is a frequent medium for fraudulent behavior.
Venmo is a simple way for friends to send each other money, and it is not designed for uses beyond this purpose. Please let me know if there's anything else we can do for you (bearing in mind that we can't divulge much beyond what I've provided here).

Anyone can just report fraud and I lost having done my share but not compensated. I asked for their address but they did not respond. I asked Kenneth, so who gets to keep the money? No response.
