AAMCO Transmission ..incompetent, inefficient and untrustworthy crooks!
On January 28, 1999, I paid approximately $2,000 to get my transmission rebuilt at V&C Corp. After picking-up my vehicle, I discovered that my $30 flashlight was taken. After reporting this to the V&C Corp. owner, Steve Ngo, he merely shrugged his shoulders and disregarded my claim. Then, three weeks later, my transmission again malfunctioned; after returning my vehicle to V&C, Mr. Ngo stated that the solenoid needed to be readjusted. After retrieving my car for the second time, my transmission again malfunctioned, just a week later; Mr. Ngo nonchalantly stated that the “valves were not cleaned properly.”
Now, 24,000 miles later of careful driving, with a so-called rebuilt transmission, my vehicle is back with, again, a transmission problem. This time, Mr. Ngo wants to recharge me the $2000 again! He even discourteously rejected my request to provide me a rent-a-car. Because I am a student and this vehicle is my only mode of transportation, I did not have any other alternative but get the transmission done. Again, AAMCO has taken advantage of the situation.
I chose AAMCO because it had a reputation of quality service, guaranteed work, and trust--- this could not be further from the truth. I have definitely learned that AAMCO facilities have nothing but incompetent, inefficient and untrustworthy crooks! AAMCO gave me the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I recommend that cars be taken anywhere but an AAMCO facility.
