V2Premier/NBC Shopping Net Work ripoff consumer scam artists... more dishonesty from the business sector Chaska Minnesota
Hi!
I thought that I was the only one who was having trouble with V2Premier...until I saw this report on the web! I too, purchased my computer (complete $2000.00 package) through the ShopNBC network.
This was our first computer and we were very excited about the purchase. Everything seemed to be going well for about 2 weeks....then I tried to install a windows hunting game and I crashed TOTALLY!!!
I called the Tech people and was told to use the recovery disc, which when used erases everything else, except the xp windows. I re-installed the programs that came with the computer...only to have it begin a year lengths worth of crashes. It always came back to a problem with a device driver. Each time I crashed and could not recover I would call a tech person, only to go through the same re-boot, go into BIOS, and uninstalling of programs.
I had even had them take me into the computer operating system and uncheck boxes which at one point completly shut off all sound to the computer! My monitor at one point would not start and after many very lengthy calls (45 to 50 min waits) a tech decided finally to have some one come and install a new video card.
This took care of that problem but, I still can't install any games such as zoo tycoon or cabello's hunting 6 (which my husband wanted really bad)...My husband still has not used the computer for more than 5 min. because all he wanted to do was play one of these hunting games and they always crash and have to be un-installed.
If it wasn't for the expense of this machine, I have been tempted to throw it out the window!! I even named it the Hatton Hair Puller... UGH!
These people should NOT get by with this....I thought I had bought a lemon and was stuck with it, until I read these reports from many others. If anyone has any ideas of what we can do let me know.
