USA Pool Depot Ed Maira SCAM ARTIST DO NOPT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH HIM Palmer Pennsylvania
Contacted by Mr Ed Maira about a pool installation after using an internet search routine to find pool contractors. He quoted a reasonable price and threw in a few extras just to be nice. I asked about references and here is his response
1- yes we do provide warranty on install for one year and in the unlikely event some problems after we would like to be notified we do not walk away from our clients
2-we try to maintain 25-30 which is adequate makes it easier to have quality control
3-some towns require others do not cost does not reflect but we work with every home owner sometimes we have to pay and submit engineer specs on pool if twns required we will make special trip to your home put location of pool on your plot add engineering copies for your submittal
4- we use fiberstars led remote control with timer best on market
5- all pools come with skimmer and main drains robots or automatic cleaners extra
6-refrrence west virginia tom slagel installed this year he can tell you quality of work 804-283-3683

Checked with Tom Slagel and he gave a glowing report on Ed's work with several area pools. Also checked the WaterWorld pool website and they appeared to be legitimate. c
So, I put a $5200 down payment for the pool. That was the last I heard from Mr. Ed. After a month, I called Danielle to ask about the pool order. She knew nothing about an order and did not want to talk about Mr. Ed. Called the owner, and he now refuses to do business with the criminal.
Now I discover he is really Ed Mara not Maira and he has been running this scam for many years under different names and company names. Heaven forbid if he actually shows up at the property site, because he causes more damage than anything.
PLEASE, DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN ANY BUSINESS.

Kathleen Guinan is wife if Ed JR, obviously she will give best reference.
This guy and his son are criminals. Most recent company is called USA Pool Depot. He also changes his last name to Maira or Marra. He almost always travels with his son Ed JR. and can be easily recognized because he does not have fingers on the right hand. Please e-mail me your story at EdMara.Thief at yahoo.com. I'm collecting evidence to press criminal charges against him and his son.
