DO NOT BOOK with US Coachways (Staten Island) This company uses old, broken and likely dangerous vehicles. Staten Island, New York New York
Do not book a charter bus with US Coachways! The on line booking system was very easy to use and I had a quote that was very competitive, but when I went to commit to the charter, they came up with an amount that was nearly $200 more! I refused to pay the additional amount and they accepted that. The day of the trip the bus arrived late and the driver told me the vehicle was not cleaned and ready for use, which was why he was delayed. The vehicle still had some trash on it and a mysterious hyraulic like fluid on the one side of the bus that was oozing up from somewhere underneath. The bus driver tried to mop it up, but the slippery fluid continued to seep out onto the floor under seats all day. Many of the seats, armrests and footrests were broken. There was only about half the window shades that were operational. The heating and cooling did not work in the back of the bus and finally, the bus had worn out and useless shock absorbers, so the ride was very bumpy! One of my passengers looked up who dangerous no shocks can be. Clearly, this bus should not have been in service!
