I had enrolled my company in the United Parcel Service on line shipping program using Pay Pal as the source of payment. Everything seemed fine but while reviewing my Pay Pal account , I noticed two automatic charges from UPS totalling 236.00. The first one appeared as 105.00 with some customer reference number. I contacted the UPS customer service line and after some dancing I was informed that it was an additional handling charge added to a part I had shipped. The original charge was only 95.00 and they added an additional 105.00! The representative told me that when the package passed through the "laser" it came up with a different dimension. The IRONY is this package was MEASURED and weighed AT the main UPS shipping center by a UPS employee! After some arguement I was refunded the 105.00 to my Pay Pal account and was assured this was not a normal problem. That was on 

1/12/2015. Today it happened again for another 121.00. Same situation different package. This one was weighed and measured by a UPS employee at their center , I was charged 101.00 and now I have another 121.00 automatic charge appear on my Pay Pal! UNBELIEVABLE! I can not contact them because it is Saturday , but I am steamed! The moral of the story DO NOT link your pay pal to UPS for automatic payments. Had I not been paying attention these RIP OFF charges would have gone unnoticed. No notice , just hit my account they must think they are the IRS not UPS. I assure you our company will use every other available shipping solution but UPS when possible. Thanks for reading.

I have just re-read your reponse. to clarify , these frames were not boxed. they were shipped as irregular packages. That is why we took them to the terminal .Once again I did not perform the measurements however had I been measuring a "box" i would have been able to read the tape. For the record I also recieved my refund for the second mistake. At least after lengthy explanation they did do that. I would however challenge anyone to try and get through to their customer service dept. easily. Again this was not a bashing report. Merely a warning report. Thank You.

The events stated in my report are EXACTLY as it was stated. The frames were taken to the UPS main shipping center in Canton Ohio because we were unsure how to measure them. The UPS clerk weighed and measured both frames. The dimensions were put in at the computer terminal AT the UPS center we were permitted to enter our Pay Pal information at the location. the labels were printed off of the UPS printer. It is absurd that you can only question me and make lightweight allegations as to my reports authenticity rather than appreciating a small business man trying to warn people against harmful financial dealings with UPS. I still use their service. I do not have a choice in some circumstances , however I pay with a company credit card now and no longer give them card blanche to my account.

Who created the shipping label with the weight and dimensions? If you payed UPS directly at the UPS shipping facility, I don't know how it could be possible for an upcharge that would be linked to your Paypal account. If you created that Paypal shipping label, why whould UPS weigh and measure your package as you had already incorporated those specifications in your shipping label? With two shipments being upcharged as they were, I would question the accuracy of your dimensions. You're not using the inner dimensions printed on the box, are you? Are you measuring to the three extremities and including any bulge? My company has regular FedEx and UPS pickups, and we never see an upcharge like that on our weekly bills.
