These guys are such scam artists. They feed you such a line of bs saying you need their headshots and classes. The headshots have been over 3 weeks and still waiting. They also charge a ridiculous amount for them pocketing a good half of the $300 probably. They won't let you leave basically without selling you into at least putting a deposit. The best part is they gave me a job to do where I had to call a number Friday night. Called it that exact time they told me to. Got a voice mail and left a message. Called Universal the next day telling them I didn't get in touch with them and to call me a.s.a.p. Never got a call so had no clue where to go Sunday. Monday roles around and Universal tell me I owe them close to $100 for not showing up. They won't book me on another job till I pay them. I said how could I show up when I had no clue where to go. They obviously could not come up with anything and just said it's my responsibility. I told them to go screw. I am so sick of the games these guys play. I made a bad mistake of paying the for the headshots which I haven't received and classes that are a total joke. I am very angry with these guys and thank god I put it on my credit card. Going to take it up with them. Do not go to these guys they are a total scam and I won't be surprised in the least if they did that Friday thing on purpose to get more money.

I have worked with universal and when you are given a job and a phone number to call the night before a job when on the phone with the production company that has the details its usualy a voicemail recording where you follow phone prompts such as option # 3 then press ext 10 then the production person gives the time for check in and the exact location and what to wear....

the only message you leave on the production co voice mail would be your check in # and name  to confirm you have the details.

That is because the production company is still crossing thier T's and doting the I's on all of their last minute details. no one from the production co is going to call you it could be a job with a hundred people involved thats why the production co would use universal talent to give you a check in number and the details for that job.

if you do not show up for work when your assigned how does that reflect on the agency. what does that say about your responsiblity how bad to you want work

your story doesnt sound right they gave you a job they gave you instructions then they had to follow up with you by contact you to find out what was your side of the story.
