Thats exactly what I have been trying to do all this time. I have put in 2 forwarding notices, (July and August 2002) both with the correct information. I have checked the USPS database and the information there is correct. Someone "did" put in a false forward on my current address (November 2002), it wasnt me, the only address I tried to change was a forward from the old address to the new address. I never put in ANY forward request at my new address. But one appeared all the same. I agree they arent mind readers, but I have spoken directly with the postal worker who is supposed to be forwarding my mail, twice, I gave him the correct addresses, he promised he would forward my mail. I have called many times and spoken with the supervisors at Rich Hill Station, all of who have taken my information to make sure it is correct. I have called many times to 1-800-ASK-USPS and tried to resolve this. I have updated my address with all family/friends/creditors/debtors. My point was that no matter how many times I asked/called no one will fix the problem. USPS say they have a forwarding service, in my case they didnt.

Get your address straight - make sure it is correct - and write it legibly on the form. "Someone" filed a false change of address form in your name? Oh Puhleease ... it sounds to me like you made a mistake on your form which made the USPS unable to forward your mail. They are not mindreaders, they cannot just figure out your correct address and forward your mail. Also - since forwarding mail is such an incredibly big problem for you - did it ever occur to you to contact your creditors/family/friends with your new address so they can send your mail directly to you???
