United Express Van Services is a ripoff business from hell. Sunrise, Florida
I looked up moving companies on aol, when I found this company. When I called the man who answered the phone name was Shay he told me the price would be 1387.50.
When the driver loaded up my stuff they asked for payment in full up front for 3100.00 the driver began to tell me that I had 37 steps which he charged me $350, he charged me $80 for wrapping my furniture, $2800 because he said I had 450 Cubic feet of furniture.
I called the company back and asked why the price was up for 3 day they kept haggling over the price with me. finally I agreed to $1850 for the moving door to door. Then Shay asked for payment up front which I sent through the mail fedex.
I still have not recieved my thing nor have I gotten my money back. I am glad I found this site because I will now call the fbi and the police dept.

United Express is one of the many scam movers in south Florida, notorious for doing to other people exactly what they did to you.
Please take the time to make a formal complaint to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (part of the Department of Transportation). these complaints are starting to make a difference in getting consumer protection laws passed.
If you call the police or the FBI they will probably tell you that it's a "civil matter" rather than a criminal matter, even though the movers stole your furniture.
