Hello, I own federal Debt Solutions based out of Long Island, NY. This article does not pertain to my company, so I do not want my clients to get alarmed if they come across this article. I hope that the consumer truly did her homework before posting those comments about the other companies because innocent people may suffer as a result. What I can't understand about not being allowed to cancel is that: its your card?? You CAN cancel anytime. All you do is inform your cardholder, and make a dispute. It just didn't make sense. My company also offers a refund policy, if we are unable to increase your credit score, you get your money back. I am also going to do research about this unethical company and find out information. Hopefully, the author is wrong and the name in the article can be removed?? I don't know, but as the owner of an honest company that goes above and beyond to help people (not just paying customers either), this article bothers me. Especially because she never did business with Federal Debt Solutions, but heard that they are using a DBA. There is another Federal Debt solutions, which I see when I google my name. I will write to them, let them know about this article, and determine what to do from there.

Just because something is advertised - does not mean it is not a rip-off TV, Radio, Magazines and Newspaper - even internet ads are no guarantee of legitimacy - They sell ad space to anyone who is willing to pay for it. NO ONE checks these companies out for before they air or publish the ad. It is up to YOU the consumer to do the research yourself. Just look at all the As Seen on TV crap that is advertised, look at the complaints for Magic Jack and even the newest scam the Snuggie - lots of complaints from people because they saw it on tv and thought it has to be good. Other examples are the ColonCleanse WIYU, Acai Berry etc. I saw a complaint the other day that assumed that Oprah approved because it was advertised during her show, so they assumed she actually endorsed it. As for your particular issue - Credit /debt repair - The Federal Trade Commission has info available for free to help you avoid what you got caught in The info is out there - you have to be willing to look for yourself - While there you can also file a complaint - AFTER YOU READ THE INFO THEY HAVE! http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/credit/reports.shtm
