I was scheduled to fly United on a business trip. I had e-tickets. I went to the airport and started checking in. I was running a bit late and only an hour before my flight. I started the e-ticket check-in procedure and their machines had problems.

I waited at the counter for the agent to come help me. I watched her help others that had arrived there after I did. Then she started helping an elderly couple do their check-in. I asked the lady for help and she said in a minute. I explained to her that the plane was scheduled to depart in less than an hour. She said "You wait until I'm done helping these people". I waited about 10 minutes and finally she came down and got me checked in.

The plane I was on was very full. I was sitting next to a gentleman and his 3 year old daughter. She was sitting in her car seat. I was in an aisle seat and the stewardess came and asked me to move to a middle seat so "this gentleman can have more room". I advised the stewardess that I was fine where I was and she replied "I wasn't thinking of you, I was thinking of them".

This was the worst service I have ever had flying. I will never fly United again.
