Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On September 3, 2004. Upon reading one of their $29.00 ads I had my A/C Unit serviced by United Air Comfort Inc. The two technicians, Shawn Young and Andy Mundy came without the proper tools to do the job, no flashlight. My A/C Unit is in the Attic. They asked to borrow my flashlight so I loaned it to them. When they packed up to leave they took my 9 volt flashlight with them.

What really made me extremely angry was I discovered the flashlight missing when our lights went out during hurricanes Charlie and Ivan and we were forced to use candles. I reported this incident to their offices in Deerfield Beach, Fl., Jacksonville, Fl.and Forest Park, Ga. I've tried several times to get a replacement and each time they've passed the buck and tried to make it seem like a trivial matter. The Manager, Mr. Lewis (Fa. office)responded to by saying, "You mean you are complaining about a $5.00 flashlight?." I replied it's more about trust and principals than about price. The job they did cost me $500.00. Tom Rivera, of the Forest Park office has promised to reimburse me after at least five calls to him. He asked that I buy another flashlight and fax him the receipt. I did (twice) and still I have not been reimbursed.

Now when I call Mr Rivera (404) 370-1814, all I get is a message machine. The telephone number listed in the phone book for their address bas been disconnected. I'm sorry I gave them my business. I'm not certain but they may have taken advantage of me in a major way.

The technicians convinced me that even though my house was only two years old, the A/C coils needed to be acid cleaned because the unit had not been properly sealed and particles were being sucked in, clogging the coils, and blowing dust particles and fiberglass into my house. Scare tactic. I panicked and told them to fix the problem. They also told me that my home owners insurance would reimburse me.

They lied. The insurance company told me after the job was done, I should have gotten at least three estimates. So I ended up footing the bill for $500.00.

Find a fool,bump his head.
