As a EX-license holder for Mark Berch, I can share my same thoughts of these two . GET A REPUTABLE COMPANY, NOT CROOKS! No company can charge $19.95 or $29.95 for a "service tune-up"and still be in business for any lenght of time. United made money on top of the "service call" which was basically ripping people off. Selling alot of parts to unsuspecting or naive homeowners for $400 to sometimes new units at $4000 when the units weren't 5 years old. A gentleman in N.Ft.Worth had a system that was not 2 years old and one service tech went out sold him transformers and other parts when there was nothing wrong. I CANNOT OPERATE IN THIS FASHION WHICH IS WHY I RESIGNED FROM UNITED. This does not scratch the surface of what I know.

I am a former dispatcher for this company. I have witnessed your situation more times than I can give an accurate number, but to say this occured more than once or twice a week, per city, was considered business as usual. This company has now stopped doing A/C ripoffs and has moved on to a new scam. They currently operate out of the "Fifth Avenue Shops" on Federal Highway in Boca Raton Florida. The phone number is 1-866-928-3719. This company is owned and operated by three brothers named Ian, Mark and Eric Berch. Because of their business practices they employ a full time attorney named Alan Cochran.

I apologize for the mess you are in from all professional Heating and A/C contractors. This company does nothing but rip people off by installing equipment improperly. I would be willing to bet that is why it won't work. Please get ahold of another company with a good record and explain your situation. You should still be able to get the repairs under warranty if it is a parts problem. If it is an installation problem, then Im afraid you are out of luck. Good luck
