On 10/31/01, I won a bid on an AM-Comps Athlon 1.3GHz 384MB RAM 20GB HD DVD-ROM computer, order # B6222221 at 11:45:00 PM for the amount of $349.00 + $45.65 which came to a total of $394.65 charged to my credit card. Unfortunately, it has been over two months and I still have not receive the order as promised by uBid.com.
I contacted uBid at least 6 times by email and still have not got the issue resolve(same excuse every time.) I asked for a refund of the money back but they ignored to mention anything about the refund.
I also contacted the company several time by phone and was unsuccessful(impossible) to get thru to any customer representative. On my recent email to them, I acknowledge to uBid to reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until 01/07/02 before seeking help from a government agency, consumer group, or lawyer.
They replied on 12/30/01, "For the order status of order number B6222221 you will need to contact AM-Comp directly at 516-626-7000 or email at
[email protected]." I sent an email to AM-Comp also and they did not reply. I did not place an order with am-comps. My order was with uBid and they charged my credit card in full. All I am trying is to get my hard earned money back.
