U-Haul U-HELL Rental Store and Headquaters incompetence blunt stupidity abused & mistreated ripoff nightmare rental Las Vegas Nevada
We rented a ( largest ) U-Haul trailler at the Palm Springs U-Haul.
First at all we pre ordered it and when we got there ( no Trailler there),they had to free it from all the way in the back of their lot what took them at least 2 Hours to do so.
We loaded this Trailler up with moving Boxes to move to Las Vegas First at all its a rough ride getting to Vegas and then this rediculous U-Haul shame what went on when we tried to drop off the Trailler.
After contacting the Headquaters in the morning and after 30 minutes waiting, they directed us to a "Gas station" in the middle of the Town (a town we dont know and where we do not know our way around in) Getting to this Gas station ( what was a Adventure ride) they told us " the Man who does U-haul is sick since 3 weeks you gotta go to the U-haul on Decatur ( aprox. 8 miles the opposite direction).
What a nightmare getting to this Street with a huge trailler without blinker system ( because they had connected it wrong in Palm Springs and the connection scraped off on the way to Vegas) lots of U-turns and wrong directions, we finally reached this dealer.
We drove up on the Store lot, then they alreaddy waved us off the Premisses. We almost busted, they said "we dont have room for this Trailler" ( I know now why they didnt want the Trailler[ because renting Traillers out doesnt bring a much Money as renting out big Trucks] they kept their lot empty for the Trucks]
Well, after I almost disconnected the Trailler right there we had another address, we drove to, a U-haul station about 15 Miles north, we didnt know where we are! But we again barely made it. Here finally we could drop off the Trailler and they even had a smile for us. We where exhausted and all our apointments to find a Home had been canceled, it took us more then 4 Hours to drop off a huge Trailler in the middle of a busy and big City.
Do never try to drop off a Trailler in Las Vegas.
It will cost you a couple of Years of your Life.
And the Headquater has incompetend People working the Phonelines.
It took this Woman 30 minutes to even find a drop off for us in Las Vegas.
We will never rent from U-Haul again thats for sure.
And we hope others learn from our experience. GO PENSKE believe us its worth it spending a couple of bucks more. ( we moved our Home with them we are very pleased.
