Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We booked a Carnival Cruise on Travelocity for Port of Mobile Alabama to Bahamas back in September 2017 to go with my brother, Retired Light Colonel, Kirk Boothe. We paid $1, 250 as a deposit and we were at first going with our children on the Carnival Fantasy  this Nov 3rd, 2018 cruise to the Bahamas.

My brother passed away in February of 2018. I called in June 2018 to the travelocity site to cancel the children's reservations. They did and were very pleasant and stated at that time that we now owed only some 150 dollars, which we paid.

After purchasing excursions for our cruise over the last few months, of  about $600 and  paid the rest of the cruise for a total $1, 575.00 ,I found that  the Carnival Cruise line out of Port of Mobile, Alabama has canceled our room for us ? ?and gave us reimbursements for  only some of the excursions I have already paid for. We never got any notice in the mail, or e-mail or phone call about it.

I spent half the day talking on the phone to Travelocity representative who did nothing, and Carnival Cruises, who did nothing. At first, I wanted my cruise and room back. This is how they handled the situation.

The  various representatives stated "now you owe 500 for not taking the children" .

Then another representative said that the "$500 extra was a service fee".

Constantly stating "but it is not our fault!" and "We didn't do this!"

They tried to say it was my fault because you see ... Now there is a fee for canceling the children's reservations.  No notice in the mail, or e-mail or phone call about it.

Which if you go online, there is no fee if you cancel  75 or 76 days ahead of sail, which I did back in June,  knowing the policy.

So they tried to blame me, "but it is not our fault!" and "We didn't do this!", "now you owe $500 for not taking the children" or we would not have a room on the cruise.

Because my husband got angry with Carnival and Travelocity for myself being on hold for  hours and hours on end...

and being told to pay even more moey to get a room, the supervisor suddenly said, "we will not help you now".

I tried to talk to other supervisors and they refused to help, also. And quess what? No reimbusement except for $403.08. WHY does Travelocity and Carnival Cruise lines representative blame the consumer? For one reason.

My theory it that both Travelocity and Carnival purposesly OVERBOOK,  purposely bounce or cancel people's reservations, and then they get paid 2 times for the same exact room. One person gets ripped off and the other person goes on the cruise... which I found from reading complaints.... is a hellish vacation anyway. Carnival seemingly charges extraneous fees and doubles excursions fees for absolutely everything.. and if you want to go, you have to pay the doubled fee.

We deserve our money back and the Carnival Cruise Lines/ Treavelocity Ponzi scheme should not be servicing the Port of Mobile and the good people of Alabama and USA. I have read a serious amount of very sad, consumer reviews of those who were ripped off for no services, like we were from both of these Internet companies, and wish I had read them last year. This is a total disgrace.  I was reimbursed $403.08. I paid $1575.03. I was not reimbursed for $160.08 of excursion fees that we can't take. So, the total amount of

$1, 232.11 is still owed to us.
