Travelbridge AirLandSea, Scam, Con, High Pressure Sales Pitch,
We bought into this travel agent scam thinking we would save money. We were told that we could save money on car rentals, plane reservations, cruises and specifically accommodations. We specifically asked about accomodations in Spain as we were planning a trip there. We were told that we could rent a condo in Spain for $399/week. We gave the person at travelbridge 3 months to work on finding us a condo during the off season and we were flexible about our travel times as well.The only thing she could find was for $800/week. We needed to rent a car for the 4 weeks we were there. The best rate she found with an auto broker was $756 for a compact car; I booked direct with a well-known company and was given a rate of $544.00 for a midsize car. Not only was the travel agent unable to find a condo for us where we wanted to stay and at the coupon price, the attitude she conveyed was that she was doing us a favor and what do you expect. In other words, if you think you can do better, do it. My point is the whole program is a rip-off. We have found managers and their employees very unpleasant to work with, almost rude and we are made to feel that we are an interruption to their work, as if we are a thorn in their side. You bought the package, now leave us alone. We have been on many cruises, receive numerous brochures from cruiselines which we have cruised with and find them cheaper than Travelbrige. I would appreciate your contacting me if you have pursued action against Travelbridge and recouped any of your "membership fees."
