We partnered with Travelbridge Air Land & Sea in the early 90's. I say "partnered" because it truly felt like a partnership in the beginning. The out-of-pocket cost was approx. $3,000.

Donald Eastvold, Sr. was alive at that time and ran a terrific company. We received everything we were promised and then some. Our incentive to join was a free trip to Hawaii, which was great. we attended classes and learned a lot about the industry. During the first months, We booked travel for friends, groups, family and made our initial investment back in commissions in no time.

When Eastvold, Sr. passed away... the company began its descent, soon left California and, from that point on, seemingly went straight down hill.

After commission cuts, 9/11, etc. we continued to book travel sporadically using our favorite tour companies and airlines... managing always to make more or break even on the commissions to cover the annual dues fee.

But, by chance, when checking on a vacation package we had booked, we were told that "Travelbridge" no longer existed; all of their bookings were transferred to "AZ Travel" and only "agents of AZ Travel"could have access to bookings.

When we called Travelbridge to verify this, they concurred. The whole thing didn't sit right so we began internet researching and found all the nasty "Rip-Off" statements and lawsuits made against this company.

We immediately cancelled out that particular booking but, ironically, we were able to complete other bookings with $$$$ commission that was all credited to us!!!!!!! It was quite simple to have all the travel documents sent directly to us instead of to this travel company.

So, while we are peeved that this venture did not have the long-term benefits we were promised (and, in this sense, we were ripped-off), we are happy to say that we got the "last laugh".

The so-called "travel agent" card is worthless. They certainly offer no "travel bargains" and, frankly, we'd be scared to death to try and redeem the condo vouchers because the reputableness just does not exist. They could keep the money, pack up and... well... do what they do best.... leave the State.

We can't believe they are still sending us notices to pay the annual dues. Even more, we are amazed they are still in business! Trust.... this is not a business you want to affiliate with. It's a shame to take a "good name" and muddy it so. Donald, Sr. must be rolling in his grave.
