They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Deborah terpening Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: There is a major communication problem with credit reporting agencies. I also had a problem with this particular agency 2 of the other national reporting agencies. It is an extremely frustrating process to receive the information and the process to clear information is tedious. One would think that in this computer age the process could be more efficient. In order to clear a report it took me 6 months of persistent communication on my part and unfortunately I don't bother anymore and my report reads more like the Enquirer. I realize that companies need to check credit through some process but maybe the companies should therefore raise the bar on standards of reporting agencies. These agencies are very prompt at reporting negative information without the facts. An example is medical bills, consumers that are insured often have coverage but billing errors are all too often hard to clear and responsibility is usually directed at "computers". The outcome is usually a report to an agency and then the NIGHTMARE begins!!! There needs to be an agnecy that provides quality assurance over the credit reporting companies who can ruin your credit worthiness and make them accountable for correct information, timely reports, and a process whereby you can speak to a "human" for follow up on problems.
