As Tyra Banks always says, if you have a genuine unique look or talent, you should NOT have to pay money to become famous! Apparently, however, not everyone knows this. And I DEFINITELY don't think this person above even knows what he is talking about. Yes, true enough, if you want to be famous or rich, you will have to put in lots of time, effort, etc.-- but not MONEY! If you have the right look or talent, people will pay YOU! Do you realize how many aspiring actors and models pay money and go NOWHERE? Those that actually make it are usually discovered somewhere unexpectedly! They aren't the ones paying thousands of dollars! Legit agencies and companies pay the TALENT, because they know that the particular "look" or "talent" that their client has, will MAKE money! So they invest in YOU! You don't invest in them! I hope Mr. Know-it-all here above spends thousands of dollars of his hard-earned money sometime in the future on an entertainment career-- only to get NOWHERE. We'll see if he's still beating the same horse then! To the original author: Good luck in the future with your modeling career. And NEVER EVER pay an agency to market you. A legit agency will only make money when YOU do! (meaning commission). That way, they actually have motivation to find you work! The only thing you should EVER have to pay for in modeling is PICTURES or COMP CARDS (and you don't even need those, when you are just starting out)!

I have been to varios modeling agencies (some even VERY well-known), as well as, TC TALENT - which IS NOT an agency - for those of you who do not read the fine print (or the regular/bold print for that matter), and for those of you who don't pay attention. Every modeling AGENCY that I have been to has charged MORE than the $795 that TC Talent charges. I am not a client of TCTalent, but I am familiar with their concept and know what they are about, and I am one who has been in the industry before. I was doing some research and saw some of the "rip-off" complaints. Some seemed LEGIT,("Shiyanne" you might appreciate that word and understand it when it is spelled correctly - I won't list all of the other words you butchered), but some other complaints were ridiculous and immature. Why should anyone take your complaints seriously when you don't even know how to spell No one said it was cheap or easy to become famous. You may think differently if you talk to some celebrities and see what they have spent, or what time they devoted, and what sacrifices they made to get where they are. Fame and fortune isn't just handed out to everyone on a silver platter. Then we would all be rich and famous, "living the dream". There is nothing wrong with having high hopes and big dreams, but don't whine and place blame on some company when you DON'T TRY to do what it takes to get you where you want to be. You are just failing yourselves and being LAZY. If you don't want to spend the money - FINE. Keep spending money on all the things/products that make you look better so that you can "discovered"....and stop complaining! Last but not least - a dictionary doesn't cost $800, why don't you spend some money on one of those. On top of that, maybe people don't want to invest any money into trying something that could change their lives - MAYBE! But everyone sure is quick to spend money on make-up, hair products, the latest fashions, blah blah blah - just to look good...like those models amd famous stars. Quit being so bitter and ridiculous. Be happy with who you are or DO something with your life...get an education for crying out loud...learn how to speak and spell - it's a lot easier than getting famous...and it's free to learn...libraries are FREE. Try it - you might go far. -SOMEONE WHO WORKS HARD TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND LIVE THE DREAM-

TCT is NOT an agency. This should have been made very clear to you both when you were scouted and when you went to hear the presentation at your open call. If TCT was indeed represented to you as an AGENCY, the problem lies with the particular office you went to and NOT with the parent company. Those of us who work for TCT are very specifically warned never to represent the company as an agency on pain of being fired. You should contact TCT corporate directly if someone from a TCT office told you they were an agency.

Just a few comments regarding the rip-off report. First of all, have an open mind. You may be jumping to conclusions if you assume tctalent is similar to "Options Talent." Every dream costs something; i.e. money, time, or just hard work. There is always a price to pay. Secondly, I'm not sure what your complaint was from the open call other than the price. Look at it as a learning experience. Finally, you may want to proof read your letters in the future. It was, "like"...poorly written. Good luck.
