Requested a DD-214 of my service. Recieved a copy of my discharge of 18 months in the Army. I wrote back that that was a short term discharge with a re-enlistment for a 51 week school followed by an 18 month deployment to Okinawa followed by 13 month as an instructor at the school.

discharged in Jan 1973. Have sent 2 emails, but haven't recieved a reply. Have filed a complaint with credit card company disputing charges.

Submit additional information verifing that I was an instructor? I was still in the Army and the majority of the school instructors are Army soldiers (80%). I sent you the information on my re-enlistment, subsequent schooling, deployment to Okinawa, the back to APG Md as an instructor until I was discharged in Jan 1973. You chose not to verify that information.

I have all my pay paperwork, orders, and promotion papers. What I needed was my DD-214 as I couldn't find it in my paperwork.  You claiming to be a great research company is bogus. From what I see you choose not to investigate any further then my first discharge which was in Korea before my first enlistment was up (three years), let alone that ending in Korea, and not the United States.

I am familiar with a DD-214 and what information it is supposed to contain.  If you contracted with the company to get a copy of your DD-214 and the information is incorrect regarding your service, then isn't the problem with the Government (the VA specifically) for incorrectly stating your overall service to this country?  I'm just wondering why you are blaming the company that is trying to get your DD-214, for incorrect information contained in the report?

I guess I'm wondering if you shouldn't contact the VA first to either get your DD-214 straightened out, or at least get some clarification as to whether being an instructor at the school would constitute additional military service....  If there is a mistake, then the VA could reissue you a corrected DD-214 without charge.  If there is no mistake, then the company provided you the service you paid for...  Either way, it would seem the VA may be the first place you should be contacting.  Best of luck to you...
