topstockdeals.com Fake website that mirrored the Overstock.com website New Jersey
I was searching for a particular brand of luggage online and dropped into this site accidentally. It looked suspiciously like the Overstock.com website that I have used previously, but had a different name. I thought it was a sister company and was somewhat reassured, mistakenly as it turned out. As the previous shopper has noted, the first sign of trouble was that the credit card would not go through. I gave up and received multiple emails urging me to complete the sale using a gift card from Amazon. I ultimately gave in, as I was looking for the luggage. They emailed me a receipt complete with tracking number and all details of the sale. The tracking info even took me to a shipping company website called USN Carrier (website url is usncarrier.com) and it even provided me with periodic updates on where the package was: started in NJ moved to Atlanta then back to Jersey then to PA and all over the place. Three weeks into the meandering shipment and several emails later with nothing in sight, I finally acknowledged that I had been duped by a rather sophisticated con. Beware of this website and its partner usncarrier.com website.
