Tony Stout, president of TNT Aluminum Trailers is located in Cumberland Virginia and I am located in California. He promised to build me an aluminum ATV trailer in October 2004. Tony requested a wire transfer and received my down payment of $2,232.00 to get started. To this day he has not produced any evidence that he has even started it.

I called a couple of Attornies in Farmville, VA and one of them requested that I call the Sherrifs Dept. before filing a suit with the Cumberland General District Court.

I called the Cumberland Sherrifs Dept. and got a return call from an officer who informed me that I was not the only one to have delivery issues with this company. The officer informed me to file a report with the Better Business Bureau.

I went to the Better Business Bureau web site and find that I am not the only one with has a complaint filed against him.

I had to send him faxes threating him with legal action just to get him to reply to me. Now suddenly through a fax he claims to have the trailer done and demands payment of the balance of $3,132.00 before he ships the trailer. I have NO Problem with paying, but because of his empty promises I simply requested on Oct 3, 2005 that digital photos of the trailer be emailed to me so I can see that it really exists and that it contains the options that I ordered.

He is silent again. He won't come to the phone. He won't return my calls. I wonder if this ATV trailer even exists? This has been going on for over 7 months now. I have written the company at lease 5 fax letters and am still being ignored by him.

I filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs because this man must be stopped or he will rip-off others as well. The way I see it, he took my down payment of $2,232.00 and won't produce photos. He wants me to give him the rest of the money before he ships the trailer that he claims he has finished.

I guess Tony must think he can rip me off for the rest of my money. I am getting nowhere. I am at my wits end. I need to turn to the Rip-off Report to maybe move this guy to action, or at least expose him to the way he does business.

Buyers be ware! This is a very shaky company.

What was the final resolution? Are you satisfied with the outcome? Was it worth the wait and worry?

The trailer looks great and I am sending the truck to pick it up. I wish the owner would have communicated with me earlier and kept me informed to the status of the trailer. It was unfortunate that I was left in the dark for so long, with no word or assurance that the trailer even existed. This rip-off report and the complaints that I filed with the BBB and Consumer Affairs could have been completely avoided if the owner just came to the phone and didn't keep avoiding my emails and faxes. Thanks to the new personell, I have been able to get my questions answered and the photos sent to me. I will be sending final payment just as soon as I receive a fax on the registration documents. I can hardley believe that we are finishing up this transaction. Thanks to all of you at rip-off report for being there! Best regards,

It's still a grind, but I think we are making progress

I got some pictures but only the rear half of the trailer. I am releived to see that there is some headway. I requested the other pictures highlighting the front half of the trailer and am waiting for them. Wow, this is like pulling teeth! Oh well, one step at a time. Thanks for being there "Rip-off Report" Jeff

hi : Tell you what i would do. you are out 2200 bucks so far and a lot of heart ache. The butt muncher is 'hiding' behind the fact he has it build but needs the rest of the $$$$ for delivery. Here is what i would absolutely do. Fly, drive, walk or crawl to Virginia (you can get cheap tickets 2 weeks advance) . Bring the rest of the money with you. Bring a witness with you or find a consumer advocate or notary public to go with you. Bring a good quality camera. Go to the d**k licker's lot and demand to 'see' your Trailer that he has supposedly built for you. If he has one -and meets your expectations, slap down the friggen rest of the money -(minus shipping charges) and commandeer the thing right on the spot. If he does not, badger him into a refund on the spot or a trade for another trailer already built that he has there and commandeer that one. Rent a u haul truck and tow the sucker back to california.

Still waiting for photos but no reply!

I am still waiting for photos of the trailer but have not received them yet. I am still looking forward for a successful transaction of our original agreement and hope that I will be over soon. I have to make a correction to the last rip-off report. I have been waiting for photos to be emailed to me since May 3 2005. (Not Oct. 3, 2005) This transaction has been going on now since Oct 28, 2005. Six months overdue now. If I don't get a reply by Friday the 20th of May, I will just demand a refund and purchase a trailer from someone who can deliver!
