As stated before, it turns out that OnRebate.com denied this rebate because there was no rebate offer on this particular item. After checking yet again with TigerDirect, this is indeed the case and I was simply misinformed about the rebate being available for the product I ordered. Thus, I no longer have an issue regarding the rebate for this item with either TigerDirect or OnRebate.com. Though I was misinformed about the rebate being available for the product I ordered, I attribute this to simple miscommunication. A rebate is available on a very similarly named item by the same manufacturer, so I understand the confusion. With this in mind, I would consider ordering from TigerDirect again.

After following up with Mr. DeJesus of OnRebate.com, it turns out that the item I was shipped by TigerDirect did not have a rebate. Thus, the UPC code I sent did not match the UPC OneRebate.com was expecting for this offer. This clears up any issues I have with OnRebate.com. This does not, however, change my opinion of TigerDirect.com. TigerDirect informed me that I was due a rebate on this item. However, a rebate was not actually being offered! This is misleading at best on the part of TigerDirect, if not actually deceptive. I am going to try to follow this up with TigerDirect yet again.

Although my first email to OnRebate.com received no response, I have written directly to Daniel as he asks in his rebuttal. Once again I have outlined the situation. OnRebate already has all the required (and signed) forms, UPC code, serial number, and TigerDirect invoice. I will report back here if, or when, I actually receive the rebate that I am owed.
