This is a case of simple bait and switch and out and out fraud.
I logged on to Ticket Master (I am an online account member) to purchase tickets to the Julianne and Derk Hough Move concert. I selected seats in the $200.00 range to insure a great experience. When I went to check out I was diverted without my knowledge to Ticketmasters ticket resale company TICKETSNOWTICETMASTER. I had no idea I was on a ticket exchange / resale web site. When I completed the transaction and received confirmation, I downloaded my tickets and printed them. WOW!!! What a shock. I thought I had been hacked. The ticket information (see enclosed) was in the name of Ashley Conteras Address 1006 Wellstone Circle Apes NC 27502. I immediately called the number and told them there was a mistake and my name was not on my tickets.
It was then I was notified that this was a ticket resale web site and the information on the ticket is irrelevant and that those tickets were now mine. When I say the seat price of $79.99 I was enraged. I told them to immediately credit my VISA and she said we will not do that. It is not our policy to do that. I told them over the phone I would dispute the charge with VISA. The person on the phone was rude and I basically hung up on her and started the dispute.
NO ONE has the right to bait and switch me away from Ticketmaster (even Ticketmaster themselves) and charge $200.00 plus ($508.95 divide by 2 tickets is @ $254.47 ) for a $79.00 ticket.
No one would pay $254.00 for a $79.00 ticket. When I purchase a ticket I want it in my name and I want the full value to go to the best seat in the theatre.
This company has unbelievable nerve and tactics to rip people off.
Shame on this company.
