Used Ticketmaster for the first time a few days ago to purchase tickets to the Universoul Circus in Oakland, Ca.

Issue: False Advertisement

Order #47-13397/NCA (Sec K, Row B, Seat 4)

Order #47-43302/NCA (Sec K, Row A, Seats 4-8, Sec K, Row B, Seats 5-8)

I purchased the 10 tickets listed above for my family, friends, and myself to attend. We were all very excited. Imagine our surprise when we get to our seats only to find a HUGE support beam/pillar/pole in our way. Literally. It wasn't a stop sign king of pole. It was a very wide support pole that keeps the tent up. Seriously???

Here is why I'm upset and why I'm going to share my story with everyone. Ticketmaster is NOT Stubhub.com. In other words, it doesn't offer the 'seat view' like other sites would. So the only thing I have as a seat reference is the seat layout map. In that map there wasn't any mention or drawing or schematic of a structural beam that would obstruct our view. Had I known I would've gladly picked another section for my family to enjoy the show.

On top of that, as soon as we sat down, there was humiliation involved. My family and friends looked at me as if it were my fault. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. This was CLEARLY not my fault. I blame the Universoul Circus and whoever on their team that decided it would be a great idea to place seats there. I also blame ticketmaster for false advertising. Ticketmaster charged me a bunch of convenience and service fees yet how I was convenienced? How was I serviced? I wasn't. Yet

they still took their money.

I relayed the issue to the Circus floor manager who then told me to go to the ticket box office who then told me to call ticketmaster which I then tried too but of course they were closed. I advised this situation was unacceptable to the ticket box office but the rude gentleman there used his finger to point out the sign 'no refunds, no exchanges, no exceptions'. He then said they have been selling out shows like this all over and no one has said anything. Great customer service this guy.

I then waited for over half an hour for the floor manager to make another appearance but he never showed up. I then went back to my seat and again was upset about the seats. I asked my family and friends if they could see and they all said 'No'. I then went back to the main lobby to find someone who can fix this. A kind security guard lady took sympathy and said she could sit 4 of my family somewhere else, but none of us wanted to be split up. only 4!??? Thanks kind security guard lady but that just didn't help the rest of us. I shouldn't have to miss half the show trying to find seats or get answers or anything of that nature. Just wanted a nice evening with the family and that was ruined thanks to the awful circus and to the guys who screwed the pooch...TICKETMASTER!!!. Thanks for nothing! Ripoffreport.com here I come!
