My partner And I purchased tickets over the internet from thetrain.com. This trip included a dinner buffet, a room at the Grand canyon hotel with queen size bed, breakfast buffet, coach class train trip to and from the grand canyon, a 1 1/2 hour freedom bus tour at the grand canyon and a box lunch on the freedom tour. The tour was March 20th and 21st.

When arriving in Williams Arizona we drove around for hours looking for the Grand Canyon hotel to find out that this hotel is no longer in business. We went to The Train depot to find out what was going on and we were told that our hotel was changed to the fray marcos Hotel. When we finally checked in to this hotel we noticed right away that the room did not have a queen size bed only double, Way to small for two large men. I called the desk right away only to find that they could not change our room.

We then went to the prepaid dinner buffet we're we waited 45 min. to be seated. The food was so cold and so bad that we could not eat and ended up going to a circle K for sandwiches.

At 2.00 a.m. that morning we both were freezing as the heat in the room did not work. I called the front desk only to be told that they can not change our room and we will have to just suffer with the cold. Needless to say neither of us got any sleep.

The following morning we went again to Max and Thelma's for the breakfast buffet, again no service and the food was to bad to eat.

We then got on our train, We were told that this train was a steam engine by both the website and also when calling The train at there 1-800 # to confirm.

10 minutes on the train I was sick and could not breath as the train was actually a diesel engine. I am very allergic to diesel. by the time we got to the grand canyon I was very sick and it was becoming very obvious that we had been scammed.

At the Grand Canyon we were directed to get on the bus for the freedom tour. The bus took us half way around the canyon before it stopped to let us view part of the canyon. The bus driver told us we could leave our personal belongings, they would be safe and asked that we all return in 15 min. I left my digital video recorder and my wallet on the bus. We spent 10 minutes trying to look through tree's to see the canyon and then returned to the bus only to find it has left us.

We tried to get a ride with another bus from the same tour company but the bus driver was very rude and threaten us. We spent the next 2 1/2 hours walking back to the train we're I filed a police report against the bus driver. I was told by the officer that she would meet us back in Williams with my wallet, video camera and a copy of the report as at this point our train was leaving.

We bordered the train only seeing the Grand canyon for 10 minutes and no box lunch. Again I became very Ill from the diesel fumes and to make things worse the train broke down three times making the trip an extra hour and a half long and very unpleasant, I thought I was going to die by the time we got back to Williams.

We immediately went to the desk at the depot to meet with the police officer. The officer did not have my Video recorder or my wallet but only a copy of the police report. My wallet and video recorder were gone. We then went to talk to a manager by the name of Marion L. Tibbs to ask for a full refund and to file a complaint. This woman was very rude, would not allow us to file a report and got very hostel and rude. we then left as I was becoming more and more sick.

Our total loss. $276.10 package tickets $209.00 from my wallet and my video recorder a Fugi FinePix S7000 at 699.00 for a total of $1184.10
