Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I unfortunately was been a boarder at the same barn that Dianne was at before she was kicked out. Yes, she was kicked out. She says she wasn't, but she was. She constantly stole feed, hay, and shavings from other boarders because she could not afford them herself. She constantly uses bad language, even around children, and also talks about sex around children. One time she offered to show a 14 year old boy how to use a condom!!! VERY DISTURBING!!!!!!

She is now the trainer for The Silver Lining, a hunter/jumper facility located in Richland, MS. I honestly am very concerned for any potential boarder out there, as well as neighbors, because she drinks all the time, even before riding and before driving with her 9 year old daughter in the car. I can only hope that any boarders out there will have some common sense and see that she has some major issues and is not a healthy person to be around. I absolutely would never let my children be around her.

As for the owner of this facility, I wish her luck in starting her new business, and I hope she realizes that having Dianne associated with her barn is only going to hurt her business and reputation in the long run.

It is easy to believe that she uses the language you guys say. However, I was married to her and she never had a drinking problem and I wish that I could prove that Addison was mine instead of turning my back on all three of them . Letting this woman go was not a mistake, but I sure have wished many times that I had treated her better. Maybe she is not the greatest in some peoples eyes when it comes to horses, but I never knew a better trainer and I saw her almost get kicked to death by one of her horses and she would not let me put him down. She still loved that horse no matter what he did.

I Survived The Silver Lining Stables Support Group

To all of the numerous people with whom I have discussed our mutual horrible problems with Amy Middleton and the Silver Lining Stables, LLC in Pearl, Mississippi, I suggest a support group.  By my calculations there are at least twenty of us so far (and counting).  I know some of you have previously written positive things about Amy and the Silver Lining, and so did I, and I know we all thought it would be great out there.  Likewise, from talking to everyone, I know that it is universal for the experience at the Silver Lining to be a traumatic experience.  We all need to get together and put the fun back in the horses and leave the trauma of the Silver Lining behind us.  Not everyone in the horse business is a drunken nutcase, but Amy Middleton surely is!  But then, she is not really a horse person and has only owned a horse at all for less than a year.  Anyone who has seen Amy ride knows that!  You all know how to get in touch with me.  Let's plan something pleasant.

Amy Middleton better stop all harassment NOW!

To Amy Middleton directly: Stop with the harrasment of everyone. I have saved pictures of you (Amy Middleton) with Bryan at the barn at the Silver lining Stables. If this crap doesn't stop now I will post them on this website and every other one I can find. The pictures show you as definately being you and Bryan as definately being NOT Kenny Chapman. The act you are engaged in is an act that Kenny Chapman might not approve of you doing with another man. If I hear of you harassing anyone again, sending harassing texts and e-mails, filing lawsuits, threatening to file lawsuits, or anything else, these pictures will be everywhere so that everyone can see what kind of person you REALLY are.

The people you are harassing helped you build your barn and start your business. They worked hard and were not paid for there work. They worked hard because they loved the horses and because they thought you were there friends. Some of them are my friends. I do not know Diane and never met her. I do know that not only did the people who rode at the Silver Lining Stables say good things about her and the care she gave the animals, but your farrier and your vet have talked about how Diane kept the horses and how bad the care was after she left. They have talked about how nasty the stalls were after she left. I hope they really are better now and I hope they stay that way, but I know if Amy Middleton has to clean stalls it will not get done. I hope you are actually paying the person who does it now so that she will stay.

Good luck to all of you.

To Ashley Harris who started this whole post on this website- I have noticed that there are multiple posts on this same site from people who do not know Diane making allegations exactly like the ones Diane made about you.  How do you explain that?

Dianne Herman is a good person and was an asset to the Silver Lining, but she has left the Silver Lining and so have all of the other customers (including Sabra- post above). The stalls are knee deep in horse manure and the horses look terrible. They have never put their fences up. They have never put their outdoor arena up. The indoor is very narrow, too narrow. The police have been called out to the Silver Lining when Amy assaulted a "member" (as they call it.) Amy and Kenny cheated, altered and forged a bill of sale and pretended to be married, all so Kenny could show Mark Me High in an Amateur Owner class at Arabian Region 12 championships (results available online at the region 12 website) and they placed dead last. Dead last. Four horses- fourth place. Everyone is still laughing about it! I hate that Dianne has been drug into the mud with them, but the problem at that barn is not Dianne. She left and the problems have gotten worse, not better. I know Dianne from other places she boarded and the problems there started when Amy arrived there. They were over when Amy left. Cops had to be called on Amy there. too. Leave Dianne alone.

#8Consumer Suggestion

Tue, January 27, 2009

I recently moved down to Mississippi from Indiana. In searching for a place to board my horse I came across the silver lining. I was hesitant to go out and meet them when I read the 'rip off report' but I decided to go out and see the facility. I was greeted with open arms. Amy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I decided to go ahead and board my horse there. I am now boarding 2 horses at the silver lining. The horses get immaculate care and as their website says they really are your biggest fan. Amy and Kenny would do anything for anyone and genuinely care about your horses. I can go out of town and not have to worry about the care my horses are getting while I'm gone. I urge anyone who is interested in boarding at the silver lining to come out and see the facility. There are no barn 'politics' and everyone is there to have a good time and enjoy their horses. In my opinion there arent nicer people than the owners of the silver lining. Sincerely, Sabra W.

Outside point of view

First of all, Ashley, if this trashy then quit writing it if u are not trash. Secondly, from an outside piont of view, I worked at Harris Heights when Dianne was their. I don't know if Ashley kicked her out or if Dianne left because her friend left and it was ugly, but Dianne left and Ashley offered to help her. Amy did not attack a boarder I was there when the argument happened. It was just a stupid argument and Amy did not start it but she did call Ashley a LIAR. I do know Dianne did alot to help Ashley out there and even stayed and took care of Ashley's sick goat after working all nite and bought the goat antibiotics out of her own money. As far as i know Ashley never paid Dianne for anything she did. I do not know or care who owes who money. I know I heard talk that Dianne owed Ashley and Ashley owed Dianne and maybe they were even but I do not know or care. They were both my friends and I do not care. I do know Dianne did not steal feed or hay or shavings. I know Dianne bought at least 50 lbs. of feed a day because I helped her unload it. And she bought different shavings, too. I do know Ashley runs out of feed on weekends alot and uses the partail care boarders feed alot bacause she used to tell me to use it but as far as I know she never replaced any of it. I even used some of Diann'es once with Dianne's permission even though it was different than what Ashley fed. I figured it was better to feed them something even if it was different than to feed them nothing. Dianne told me not to replace it with Ashley's feed because it was different than what Dianne fed and Dianne did not like it. I also used Darlene's, Karen's and Amanda's almost every other weekend. The beer bottles still piled up after Dianne left so I know they were not all hers and alot of them were mine and Ashley's too. Everybody out there drinks beer in the afternoons but I have not seen anyone get drunk or stupid. It is stupid to try and blame them all on Dianne when you know you all drink beer and you talk about how much your friend AK drinks too. And another thing I know and you know too is that Dianne loves her little girl more than anything and would do anything for her and would never do anything to make her not safe. So stop that mess. You both just need to quit this. Nobodys perfect and neither are you two. Cant you find something better to do with all of your spare time.

Dianne, Is there a point or an end to the nastiness that comes from your mouth and actions?

I did not write this. I have no reason to attack someone on the interent like Dianne has. It is trash and I am not trash. This is like the internet Jerry Springer and I am not white trash. Even if I don't like someone I am professional enough and mature enough not to run them down. I distance myself from them, but I get nothing out of running someone down and writing hurtful things about them. I did kick Dianne out because of the problems she cause, there were to judgements in court that I won against her (public record) Amy was not kicked out, she left after she attacked one of my other boarders but was asked not to come back. When she came back I did call the cops because I have no idea of what Dianne and Amy are capable of, just look how nasty she can be writing all this stuff, imagine her in person. As far as food stealing is concerned, I buy 50 bags of food a week and feed my horses, Dianne was going through MAJOR financial problems and couldn't afford her horses, therefore she wasn't paying me board and she was stealing hay, shavings, and food from me and my boarders. It is amazing how all that stopped when she left. And the drinking, maybe Dianne wasn't intoxicated. Maybe she is so used to drinking she can down as much as she did at the barn without feeling anything. All I know is she used to be at the barn until 12 or 1 O' clock at night and in the morning there would be beer bottles all over the place. Two bad apples removed and the farm is back to the happy relaxing place it once was. Everyone is happy at the barn. I just wish they could move on also. I don't know why they can't? I have never met someone like Dianne, so down right nasty and evil with no concern for human emotion.

Amy is the owner of the Silver Lining, and was subjected to just as much, or more harassment at Harris Heights than I was. I am not the trainer at Silver Lining. I am an amateur rider. A fat, old amateur with a bad back. None of these allegations are true, which is why the writer will not use her real name. Do not believe Ashley Harris when she says that she "kicked" anyone out. Amy moved her horse on April 7, even though she had paid board for the whole month of April and still had a paid-for stall. When Amy came to help me move my horses four days later, Ashley called the police and falsely told them that she had evicted Amy and told her not to come back on the property. Ashley did this with the intention of having Amy arrested. Luckily she was unsuccessful. And yes, she did it in front of witnesses, some of whom have now moved their horses from Harris Heights to the Silver Lining and are very happy now. I never stole feed, hay, or shavings. In fact, Ashley routinely ran out of feed on the weekends and "borrowed" feed from me and every other border out there, although in her world borrowing does not mean returning or replacing what she has borrowed. Ashley also tried to cover for her use of my feed by telling another boarder (Darlene) that I had stolen her feed and telling me that Darlene had stolen mine. We both knew who was using the feed because Ashley's barn help told me. I also fed different and far better feed than Ashley. I fed Strategy at $13.50 per bag and Ashley fed Country acres at $6.50. If I was broke and did not mind my horses eating cheap feed, I would have just bought cheap feed and saved the money. Instead I bought 50 pounds of good feed per day for my four horses. I did not need or want Ashley's cheap feed. I also helped to feed one of the horses that Ashley literally let starve to death on her place, using my own feed to supplement what another boarder gave the horse to try to save her. I also used different and better shavings than Ashley or anyone else out there, so there would be no confusion. I bought my shavings and brought them in. Interestingly, Ashley has blamed former employee for stealing the shaving money out of the box and now suddenly I am to blame? Hmmmmm..... As to the issue of drinking- it s not unusual for everyone out there to drink an occasional beer in the heat of the day. I was no exception. I was not drunk or intoxicated at the barn. In fact the only people that I ever saw out there drunk were Ashley's employees and l*****n friends who had parties out there with large groups of drunk women. Real "family atmosphere." On the issue of condoms for 14-year-old boy- this is not the true story. The truth is that I am Registered Nurse and part of my job description (and regular duties) is to instruct adolescents on the dangers and risks of unprotected sex and to instruct them in safe sex and birth control if they are not abstinent. I offered to have "the talk" with this teenager. I made the offer to his mother, not to him. I did not offer to put a condom on him. His mother is only 26 and has no education. This teenager is the product of unprotected sex outside of marriage and is not likely to remain abstinent until marriage (after all his parents did not). I believed then and believe now that teenagers should be told that abstinence is the best and safest choice, but they should also be given accurate information about how to prevent pregnancy and STD's if they do not remain abstinent. Our state has the highest rate of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV, in the nation. Education is imperative for the safety of our young people.
