Hi, Thank you for your most kind words. If only more people would talk kind like you and me then the world would be a Nicer place. Your right any webcam would function as a digital camera. Well, the manufacturer should have made the resolution higher, thats what they said the Digi Pen II camera was, a 1.0 megapixel. Thats pretty good resolution. I know that it would take good clear shots, not the Grainy and DISCOLOURED shots I got. My grey carpet turned bright blue(light). Now I've Really Learned that I am not going to buy those dinky little digi all in one "web-cam" "cameras" Anymore!! No sirreeeee!! Your right I'll put a few hundred down on a Good camera next time. I heard that www.casio.com has a Small Good one that Does take good pictures. So maybe I'll get it. Well, I shouldn't have got very poor pictures and paid $150.00 Canadian for it. Even cameras that are 100.00 Ca. take good quality pictures. So there you go! You said: If all you wanted was a webcam that could take occasional still shots then hit your local electronics or office supply store and plunk down 70.00 for one.... Well, thats what I did plunked down not 70.00 U.S. BUT 150.00 CA. for that piece of junk - so there you go! Excellent excellent - from now on to the 'Invester Relation' Department I Will Go, if anything like this happens again!!! Thank you very Much for your advice!! Thats what I try to do is keep calm cool and collected. Why in this world can't Anyone voice their Emotions??!! Why is it that when you've been wronged you can't voice your anger, but 'have' to be 'calm'. Unbelievable. Thanks very Much again for your Good Kind advice. I will keep that in mind!

Any webcam can and will function as a digital camera. You may not be able to 'take it with you' but you can still get still shots. Something everyone should be aware of is that resolution dictates your photo quality, not necessarily the manufacturer. I'm not saying that the camera you purchased wasn't junk, just that you can't expect high-quality photos from a 'pen cam' as the resolution on such things as webcams are notoriously low. It sounds to me like you got exactly the results you should have from something like that. If you want high quality digital shots then you're going to have to put down a few hundred on a high quality digital camera. If all you wanted was a webcam that could take occasional still shots then hit your local electronics or office supply store and plunk down 70.00 for one. Try hitting the 'Investor Relations' section of Sharper Image's website. Those sections usually contain contact information for those a bit higher up on the food chain and, as a general rule, they HATE customer complaints and will usually do whatever's necessary to rectify the situation lest they lose potential investors due to bad publicity. Just remember to keep your contact with anyone higher up calm, cool and fact-based. Leave emotion out of it, otherwise you won't get anywhere and you'll look like just another irrational, screaming idiot customer to them.

Look moron, if you purchase something from any retailer they have no obligation to return your money...legally all sales are final..and if you're too stupid to check the product out in a timely manner then consider this a lesson learned. personally i would've laughed in your face. Wake up! Rick - Aurora, Colorado To the above mentioned person called Rick. IF I ever come down to see Aurora and meet someone called Rick I will personally tell you Off to your face. How dare you talk to me that way. Laws and refunds were made SO that Everyone who bought Something Wouldn't be Stuck with something that Just Wouldn't work or that was partly Defective, while the maker of the product or manufacturer just Walks Away with our HARD earned MONEY!!! I Hope someday that will Happen to you by NOT getting a Refund and we'll see how FAST you want a Refund of YOUR MONEY!!! you are the one that should wake up. As for the woman saying that her Digi Pen II camera works fine: I'm Happy 4 her. Good for her. I Didn't like the Green light, either!! Sharper Image should keep it off of there. Now I'll Never Trust anyone on the Net saying they have a Digital camera that is a Webcam in one. Then I know there lying!!!! I tried one more of those small digi cameras and that didn't work well either. Either the camera's pictures were grainy or they didn't turn out. Thank you Rip-Off Report for doing absolutely NOTHING to try and get my money back from Sharper Image. It so happened that I'm Soon getting my Refund Soon!!

I have an update phone number for the Sharper Image Company:
344-5555. These people keep your money if the item is defective or they try to force you to get something else on their Web Site. What if you don't want anything else. What if you Don't want an exchange either? I do NOT think it is Acceptable that they are keeping MY money and I have to keep their junk??!! Especially when it was originally bought for a present for someone else, that Really Deserved it!! I am talking about the Digi Pen II, camera and I paid around $145.00 Canadian for it!!! That is a lot of money for a piece of Junk!!!
