Received a multi-paged letter based on a person's probable need for monetary wealth, upward mobility and security. Restriction: return signed form within 12 or so days. Entirely free information to uplift your life.
Came across this "invitation" about 5 months later, decided to return it to see what would happen. Received another 14-page letter approximately 2 weeks later, stating "This Is Not a Bill". and a 4-day return window: To send the "Society" a $139.95 payment for "The Secret Society's Inside Secrets (1200 pages)!!
The letter referred to my ordering a 56-page orientation booklet - which never happened.
The return envelope for payment was addressed to: The Secret Society, P.O. Box 56047, Dallas, TX 76356-0647.
The multi-paged letter requesting money was mailed from: 23905 Mercantile Rd., Beachwood, OH 44122.
This scam evidently was designed to lure one into thinking it was associated with one of the real secret societies who do offer membership and life improvement if you are deemed worthy - as in the Masons or other world-wide organizations.

I saw in the Ripoff Report that people were getting a special invitation to join a secret society and they would receive free information to become fabulously rich and famous. The last date of any of these reports that I could find was in 2015. Well, they are at it again - I received a lengthy letter "for my eyes only" to join this secret society today (June 25, 2018). The letter is going into the shredder.
