My story is much the same as everyone elses!!! It all started in August when i decided to move from Boston to California. I was on the internet and found the National Moving Network(NMN) and the National Auto Transport(NAT). I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and the the Department of Transportation-everything checke out fine!!

So I contracted with them to ship my car and personal belongings/furniture to California. They also gave me a great rate-ever heard of the expression"if it's too good to be true it probable is"-YUP!!!

They sent me the contracts-I signed them and gave $660.00 and $200.00 deposit which they indicated was FULLY REFUNDABLE!!!! It's October and they are refusing to refund my money!

I dealt with Monica Ramirez with my household stuff. I dealt with Sal Nicoletti for my car. They were both sweet as pie until they "sealed the deal"!!! Once they had my signature and credit card forget it!!!

The estimated pick-up date for my stuff was Sept. 27th or the 28th. I noticed in reading the back of the contract that it was only an "estimated pick up" unless guaranteed in writing. The pick-up date was very important to me bcause my apartment was being rented and I was on a plane on the 29th. So I contacted Monica-via e-mail and told her I needed to make sure they would pick up my stuff-she assured me they would. I have all the e-mails she sent me printed out. I also wanted to know who the actual carrier was going to be so I could check them out and make sure they were reptuable. She informed me Modern Moving Co.

I checked them out and they were fine. I contacted them directly to make sure they were picking up my stuff. I spoke with Dave the operations manager. He stated he was scheduled and would be there the 28th. Then I got a message from NMN stating they were calling to confirm pick-up on the 27th. I called NMN-they indicated it was a mistake/mis-communication and pickup was the 28th.

Well, I happened to be surfing the net and discovered this website-I wanted to die when I read what I read. I contacted NMN immediatley with all my concerns. I faxed them over the rip off reports I had read. Monica Ramirez sent me a e-mail back defending the integrity of the company and claimed the person who started this website was currently being sued by NMN. I have the e-mail. She also indicated and assured me I would have a smooth MOVE!!!

Well on the 27th in the late afternoon, I called Dave-the operations manager to confirm what time pickup would be. He indicated he was no longer picking up my stuff because he couldn't make it on time and the truck was full. I wanted to die!!! I called NMN and of course got voicemail!!! I left several messages!!! Finally someon called me back-I think Miguel and told me not to worry someon else would pick up the stuff in the morning!!!

The morning of the 28th-no one shows up. I call NMN and no answer they don't open unti 10am. Then the receptionist Claudia-kept hanging up on me saying I was already told when someone was coming and to stop calling!!! I kept calling leaving messages for Nancy Andrade-the account supervisor, Miguel, Monica Ramirez, I was crying my eyes out, begging for someone to call me back and come pick up my stuff!!! NOTHING!!! Then at 2pm-I call NMN again and they are closed for the rest of the weekend!!!!!!!

I am crying, when I get a call from a guy named Alex-from Roamers Movers stating he will get my stuff on the 29th in the afternoon. I informed him i had a plane to catch and someon was moving into my apartment. He promised to be there at 8am on the 29th. I was crying and he told me to stop and assured he would send his "best drivers" and to calm down!!!

The morning of the 29th-no one shows up. I call Alex and he informs me that someone from NMN called him the night before and told him they found someone else to pick up my stuff and not to bother. I told Alex that's impossible they closed at 2pm.

The afternoon of the 29th. I miss my flight!!! One way ticket down the drain. $1,000+ pnalty fees to change it. I had to rent a u-haul and put all my stuff into storage because someon else rented my apartment and showed up with a u-haul full of stuff.

I had to go stay with friends and family. I called NMN first thing Monday morning on the 30th. No one would take my calls. I left numerous messages for Monica, Nancy and Miguel. I sent e-mails. NOTHING!!!!!

I notified my credit card company- they are investigating the matter-no wonder NMN doesn't take American Express!!!

I am still stuck in Boston. To this day no one from NMN has called to apologize and if anything claim it's my fault and they are refusing to refund my money. They claim I am in breach of the contract. Nancy Andrade is a complete __________!!!!! SHe has sent me numerous e-mails claiming it's my mistake etc. I informed her not to insult my intelligence that I am an attorney, which, I am. SHe wrote back completely rude e-mails and will not refund my money. SHe did offer to reschedule a pick-up. Ya right, like I would trust them to move my stuff now!!!!!! GOd only knows when I would see it.

I have had to spend thousands of dollars because of NMN. I don't intend to let them get away with it. I have lost money on plane tickets and purchasing new ones. I have decided to ship all my boxes UPS costing me over 1,000.00 and leave all my furniture behind and buy new stuff when I get there. THey have tied up money on my credit card that I don't know if I will get back. I have lost money not being in work these past few weeks. Not even the deceny to call and apologize!!!!

I would like to file a class action suit against NMN. Anyone interested please contact me.

Oh, ya the car with National Auto Transport-their sister company. Same horror story!! They took $200.00 of my money. Sal Nicoletti never returned my phone calls once he had my signature on the contract and my money.

They told me the car would be picked up on the 23rd or the 24th and who the carrie would be. I called the carrier they never heard of me and didn't have me scheduled for anything. I have this in writing via e-mail. Then I get a call from someone-I have no idea who they are and barely speak English stating they are picking up my car the following day-a week earlier than scheduled. I told them no way!!! I contracted with someone else. My car is in California and I am in Boston. Another money coster- I have had to rent a car for the past couple of weeks. If you need to ship your car use "Chip's" out of East Walpole, Massachusetts. They got my car door to door in a week!!! Not business days either!!

Please never use the National Moving Network or the National Auto Transport!!!!!!

I also notified 20/20, dateline, and 48 hours of all these rip off reports.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!

national in september 2000 national was starting on 48 hours for the same thing that we see over and over again if not everyday they are scamming the american people the way the scam work they will low ball their estimate and their contracting other moving company's to continue there dirty work how do they succeed for many year how can they continue to put this scam there are two people in miami their job to look for moving company's to do there business and why is that because a moving company after a few job's from national moving network relize that they are dealing with crooks and some moving company's because they have a big dream to expand there business and invest there money in the business until they get so many law suits thanks to national moving network ripping off customers. so not only the customers the victims but also the moving company's that after they they become affiliated with national moving network there dreams and hopes and hard work for many years they loose there business and all moving company's that have lost there business they have an outstanding redord before dealing with national moving network.why national moving network has maintained a good record with the better buisness burea,. because they are blaming the movers because there are roomers that someone in the better business burea in miami is under the national moving network payroll they have three attorney's who are working for them full time. there is asn ex employee of us dot on there payrolli have investigated everything and have spent thousand's of dollars investigating national moving network because i took it personal when they ripped me off and felt that no one else should go threw what i went threw and there are a few things that on national moving network that i cannot disclose on this point and if you have anything else that you may know about national moving network that i can win this battle against them which i am very close to do this please post it on this website or the complaint station .com thank you
