Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Husky is supposed to be "lifetime warranty" not drive 1/2 hour and argue with an associate that is not informed. My experiences with being declined: 1. computer shows stock, but no labelled area on shelf or stock. 2. it is a different color. 3. the updated part number is different. 4. we do not cover Husky made in USA (stamped into ratchet body HD moved Husky to China when they bought them and claim no liability toward the name manufactured in USA), 4. 1/2" dr. rathcet slightly different shape. 5. we need a receipt. 6. Home Depot USA cannot warranty a ratchet they sold in Canada even though they own Husky. 7. we don't make the item any longer. 8. you used it and it has a scratch. 9. we only accept returns for 30 days if you used it, otherwise 90 days with receipt. 10, go home and call 1 888 hdhusky (home depot will answer). 11. go type in www.hdhusky.com it will forward you to www.homedepot.com 12, go call husky and they will mail you a new one. 13, we need a part #. 14. the receipts in Canada have removed the description of item so you need the barcode off the package you threw out to figure out the right item - tape measures are the worst.

I did call the hotline and the lady was very nice. She sent me a gift card reimbursing me the purchase price to resolve ANY FUTURE LIABILITY for their "NON LIFETIME NO QUESTIONS ASKED WARRANTY"

I see the town Kenosha WI popping up and the name Stack-on Tools. Hmm....Snapon is made in kenosha and now market tape measure through HD. I'll probably get burned by them next!

You will also find these tools made under license which is fair enough, Apex tool group is one of them. They removed all the Irwin vise grip brand of lifetime warranty and replaced with Dewalt clamps (no warranty) made under license.

I printed off the warranty policies that existed at time of purchase, will probably post them on internet someday. HD revised them to manufacturer warranty which is not what I bought and now the manufacturers have pulled back like Estwing.

Home Depot refused to warranty with copies of Stanley policy advising to "return to wholesaler for credit adjustment" stating that I should deal with their wholesaler assuming that they bought from Stanley directly and their advertisemnet of LIFETIME WARRANTY not limited lifetime with receipt and after you track down the manufacturer AND wait 3 months (fiskars) for them to process your claim!

I had a Ryobi drill (HD bought out homelite and Ryobi) with 1 year warranty. HD sent me to a repair shop that wanted $100 deposit and waiver signed in the event HD did not reimburse them for the $48 drill - note the $100 deposit. The drill was smoked and you coould smell the resin burn on the stator. They refused to honor the warranty, I registered with Ryobi, they told me to desl with HD. I took the email in from RYOBI and was refused.

Had a Diablo blade lose a carbide insert after 2 weeks. It took 45 mins to arque an exchange with a rec't. I should NOT have to mail to Michigan.

Ridgid "lifetime" means if you call the 800# they tell you that brushes are guaranteed 500 hours and if they wore out the machine is not covered AFTER YOU MAIL THEM THE POWER HEAD and they consider IF you abused it. "FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY"? WTF?

You may as well buy Harbor Freight Tools, poor quality but they will not hassle you on warranty.

Shame on HD!
