I joined Scientology when I was 22, and escaped out when I was 53. I gave them all of my adult life, believing in their Con.
After 30 years, I woke up and left, only to find I'd been followed, chased, the VP of Scientology was at LAX telling me, "We know where you're going and you're not going there".
They have been after me ever since. I wasn't going to speak out at first, but since they kept after me, I dedided I had a voice, too, and haven't stopped educating people about Scientology, since.
If you're thinking of joining Scientology, before you give them A dime: Read, Look, Listen, Learn both sides. I promise you this:
They'll never give you back any money you pay.
Their "Tech" Doesn't Clear anyone.
There are no "OT's" It's a gigantic CON that Hubbard was smart enough to rope in Celebrities, because we feel IF Tom Cruise is in it, it must be good, eh? Well, go watch The Truman Show, and think again.
If you really need improvement, go to your local library or bookstore. For $19.95 you can learn what they sell for thousands. Good luck!

Tory, while I am sorry you spent so long in their clutches, I am so happy for you that you are free NOW. Educating others on this scam cult - I hope you find great rewards in working to spare others from this delusion. As for the celebrity aspect, well, THEY HAVE MONEY FOLKS. That's what scientology is after. So yes, they want YOUR MONEY, too, even if it is not in the amounts these deluded 'stars' can provide. Thank you for your bravery, Tory, I know it IS real bravery. There are innumerable stories throughout the decades of those who have escaped scientology, and been stalked and victimized for daring to speak out. Wishing you an abundance of peace for all your days.
