DON'T GET RIPPED OFF by The Bike Guy in Long Beach. Most of their bikes cost less when they were new. For instance, all of these Free Spirit, Huffy, Murray, RoadMaster, Open Road, Schwinn JC Penny Montgomery Wards, Sears, bikes were about $100 or less New and are made with the cheapest, crappiest, heaviest material and components. You can get Newer Aluminum road bikes for about the same price of their old, used bikes but the Aluminum bikes aren't that great so don't get a bike you don't want one. Why spend the same for an old heavy steel bike that was someone else's junk? This guy is also running a scam that he is doing it all for charity but its not true if you contact this charity they will tell you they have never heard of them.  If someone tries so hard to sell you a bike that they say they are doing for a charity something is up. They are clearly not a non profit so, what exactly are they trying to prove her.

Most of their bikes are all rusted, have cracking tires, crappy cables, etc. They buy and resell but cut corners and overprice their crap bikes.  When they do replace parts with new parts, they use cheap/unreliable Chinese parts to cut costs. I guarantee you're going to have to spend more money in the near future to replace them and the whole cost of the bike will go up even more. I wouldn't trust any seller with this kind of practice.

If you'd like to know a bikes value or have any questions about its components, you can ask in any bike forum. They will tell you its true value. They've taken over craigslist with their overposting.  Buying from them defeats the purpose of buying a used bike as you're usually looking for a good deal when you look in the classifieds. Save yourself time, money, and a headache, buy from a private owner.

Beware of Anything from The Bike Guy, Long Beach, Downtown Long Beach, Near Long Peach, Blue Line, San Pedro Etc. Don't support this type of business and don't get stuck with a junk bike.
