In October of this year, I ate at a TGI Friday's in Miami, South Beach location (500 OCEAN DRIVE - MIAMI BEACH, FL 33139 - Tel (305) 673-8443). I had gone there for lunch, with a couple of my collegues (2 of us married, with wedding rings on, and one engaged). We had a waitress by the name of Adeena. She was the most unprofessional waitess, we have ever encountered, we travel a lot, so that's really saying something! She talked seductively, flirted unrelentingly, talked about her sexual acts, private parts, and about her and some guy on a nude beach. There were children close enough to hear her, I know some parents did. I was appauled! I am a parent myself, and no child should be subjected to that type of language, and conversation with any of that type of subject matter! TGI Friday's is supposed to be a family restaurant, there is nothing wholesome about this location! I, nor my collegues will ever go back there again, and have spread the word to everyone we know, about the type of things they allow to go on in their Miami, South Beach establishment. My Wife contacted thier corporate office, via email, and got an impersonal response. The email advised her to contact the store Manager, which she did. He asked if there was anything he could do, after she told him everything I had told her about the incident. Did the waitress, get fired, or reprimanded? No, she didn't, he said he was going to "talk" to her. Miami, South Beach, FL, obviously doesn't care about kids, or families, if they keep trash like her serving up more than food at their restaurant! I suggest to avoid this location, or any of the locations for that matter, along with everything else I've read, and heard about TGI Friday's, they aren't family friendly or concerned about their consumers.

The TGI Fridays in Raleigh on Wake Forest Rd sux as well. We have 'tried' to eat there on 3 occasions, never having made it to the main meal. First time, we ordered drinks from server, 20-min later server hadn't returned, never got drinks, we left. Next time, we ordered drinks (shots and beers) we got the shots pretty quickly, server said she'd be back with beers, nope. Our appetizer came about 15-min later and still no beers. We decided not to stress the poor server and left again, this time speaking to a mgr about our problem. Next time was several years later, we decided to give it another chance. We ordered drinks, got those, ordered appetizer and dinner. Dinner came, no appetizer, no salads. We again asked to speak to mgr. and explained our past and current problems. He was VERY nice and even offered to wait on us himself, but we were too fed up by then and vowed never to give them another chance.

I am a person who works in the legal field. In March 2002, I received a call from a family member in NC who informed that she and other members of my family had an incident at TGIF in Wilmington. She stated the when they were seated at the table, the manager came and informed them loudly that there was a 15% gratuity for a table with over 5 people. When they asked why they were only ones yelled at, he screamed at them. There are other details to this story; however, the story is too long to tell. In the end, my family left TGIF having to pay for a meal that they never ate and the police was called because the manager yelled at one of them in a threatening manner. So I agree with your report.
